Looking for Philippines-based candidates
Job Role: PPC / Performance Marketing Specialist
Compensation range: $2,500 AUD - $4,500 AUD / Monthly
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.
Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.
Who The Client Is: We are moving beyond "commodity news" to provide high-level market intelligence. We are a team of storytellers and strategists who value deliberate, high-quality work. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn the technical and psychological aspects of high-level marketing within a global, high-stakes industry
Role Overview: We're looking for a Performance Marketing Specialist who can think beyond campaign setup and actually drive the ad strategy end-to-end. This isn't a "build the campaign and monitor it" role; we need someone who understands the business goals behind the spend and makes proactive decisions to hit them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and own the overall paid media strategy across platforms (Google Ads, Meta, and others as needed) not just execute briefs handed down
- Translate business objectives (ROAS, CPA, lead volume, revenue targets) into a coherent channel and budget strategy
- Reframe KPIs around CPL/CPA (Cost Per Lead), Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs), lead volume and traffic quality.
- Continuously test, analyze, and optimize campaigns based on performance data going beyond "set and forget"
- Identify new growth opportunities, audience segments, or channels the business hasn't tapped yet
- Manage budget allocation across campaigns and channels to maximize return
- Report on performance with clear insights and strategic recommendations, not just raw metrics
- Collaborate with creative/content teams to ensure ad creative aligns with what's actually converting
- Stay ahead of platform changes, algorithm updates, and industry trends to keep strategy competitive
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience running performance marketing campaigns with real ownership of strategy and budget (not just an execution/support role)
- Strong grasp of Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, YouTube Ads, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager and analytics tools (GA4, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to read data and turn it into a strategic pivot not just a report
- Experience managing meaningful ad spend and being accountable for ROI
- Comfortable working autonomously and communicating directly with stakeholders on strategy, not just status updates
- Strong English communication skills for working directly with an Australian client
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with CRM/attribution tools such as HubSpot and Active Campaign
- Prior experience in financial media, capital markets, mining/resources, or high-ticket B2B service sectors.
- Hands-on knowledge of ad policy compliance for financial and resource publishing.
Work Arrangement & Expectations:
This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:
- Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
- Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as “Independent Contractor”)
