Build a Safer World.

TRM Labs provides AI-powered intelligence solutions that help public and private sector agencies investigate and disrupt crime. TRM's platforms enable investigators to trace illicit activity, build cases, and construct operating pictures of threat networks. Leading agencies and businesses worldwide rely on TRM to make the world safer and more secure.

TRM is hiring a Senior Brand Designer to own meaningful, visible brand design across campaigns, web, social, events, sales and marketing, and reports. As TRM has grown, the brand has become one of its most important assets, and this individual-contributor craft role has real ownership over its own projects, room to take big swings, and the support of a creative team that cares about getting it right. You will work within TRM’s creative direction and help it evolve through the projects you take on.

The impact you will have:

  • Design and deliver brand work end-to-end at consistently high craft — campaigns, web, social, events, reports, and collateral — using AI to explore more directions before committing while keeping taste human-led.

  • Apply and extend TRM’s creative direction with strong typographic, layout, imagery, and color decisions, and use AI-assisted workflows to reach a strong first pass faster.

  • Translate complex, data-heavy subject matter into infographics and data visualizations that land for technical and non-technical audiences, using AI to speed production of variations.

  • Contribute to and work fluently within TRM’s brand systems, building repeatable AI-assisted brand-asset workflows so the work scales without losing soul — and flag when the system needs to bend.

  • Bring AI-assisted tools into your iteration, production, and share what you learn so the team builds fluency together; human taste and judgment lead, AI extends range and speed.

  • Collaborate in critique with strategists, copywriters, and product marketing, and support art direction of external creatives, bringing an AI-informed point of view on where the tools help and where they fall short.

What we’re looking for:

  • 6+ years of brand design experience, including time in high-craft environments (agency, editorial, elevated consumer, or design-forward tech).

  • An excellent portfolio with strong command of typography, layout, color, and composition, and a clear aesthetic point of view.

  • An AI-first mindset: hands-on experience bringing generative AI into real creative work, a clear view of where it helps and falls short, and appetite to keep growing those skills.

  • Fluency in brand systems: designing for scale and consistency without being boxed in.

  • Proven ability to make complex information land — data visualization, infographics, and editorial design.

  • Master fluency in Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite across digital and print, with experience using component libraries and partnering with external developers.

  • Autonomy: you scope your own work, ask the right questions early, and bring things to a finished standard without close supervision.

About the Team:

  • The Brand / Creative team owns how TRM shows up across every channel and cares deeply about craft; this is an IC role with real ownership and room to take big swings.

  • You will collaborate with brand strategists, copywriters, product marketing, and other designers, and support art direction of external agencies, illustrators, and motion designers.

  • The team is building an AI-first practice: taste, judgment, and craft stay human-led, and AI extends the range and speed of what the team can explore.

Team Operating Rhythms:

  • Distributed, not distant: async-first collaboration with critique and focused working sessions for the decisions that matter.

  • Primary collaboration overlaps US working hours; the team spans the US, Canada, and Argentina.

  • Feedback-rich culture: thoughtful critique is how the work gets better.

Learn about TRM Speed in this position:

  • Within your first 30 days, ship your first brand pieces end-to-end within TRM’s system and creative direction.

  • Within 60 days, take a flagship campaign or report from brief to delivered at high craft, using AI-assisted exploration to widen the options considered.

  • Within 90 days, stand up at least one repeatable AI-assisted brand-asset workflow the team adopts, measurably speeding production without lowering the craft bar.

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The compensation details listed in this posting reflect the US base salary only.

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $184,000-$202,000.

  • Additionally, this role may be eligible to participate in TRM’s equity plan.

  • Please note – we factor in the different costs for geographies outside the United States.

Life at TRM

We are building a safer world. That promise shows up in how we work every day.

TRM moves quickly. We are a high velocity, high ownership team that expects clarity, follow-through, and impact. People who thrive here are energized by hard problems, experimentation, and continuous feedback. If something takes months elsewhere, it will ship here in days.

Our work sits at the intersection of AI, national security, and fighting crime. The problems are complex, the stakes are real, and the environment evolves quickly. The pace and intensity of the work reflect the importance of the mission. As a result, the way we operate requires a high level of ownership, adaptability, collaboration, and creative problem-solving.

At TRM, you should expect:

  • Priorities and targets to change quickly as we experiment and iterate

  • Work that often requires operating with a high degree of ambiguity

  • A high level of personal ownership and accountability

  • Close collaboration across teams and functions

  • Frequent, high-touch communication

  • Creative problem solving and out-of-the-box thinking

  • A pace that rewards urgency, adaptability, and outcomes

This environment is energizing for people who enjoy building, solving hard problems, and making progress in situations that are not always fully defined. It also requires comfort navigating ambiguity, adjusting course as new information emerges, and maintaining focus and positivity in a fast-moving and intense environment.

We also recognize that this style of operating is not for everyone. If you are primarily optimizing for predictability or a consistently balanced workload, we encourage you to use the interview process to pressure test whether this environment is truly the right fit. We want teammates who thrive here, not just survive here.

At the same time, many people find this work deeply rewarding. If you are excited by meaningful problems, motivated by ambitious goals, and energized by working alongside mission-driven colleagues, there is a good chance you will find TRM to be an exceptional place to grow and contribute.
