POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an experienced Contract Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team for a 3 month engagement. This individual will focus primarily on pipelining and recruiting highly specialized Technical Operations and Engineering talent within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and life sciences industries.
The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of the biotech talent market and has demonstrated success sourcing and recruiting technical professionals across areas such as Validation/CQV, Capital Projects, Facilities & Utilities, Engineering, Manufacturing, and related GMP-regulated functions.
This is a hands-on recruiting role requiring someone who can quickly understand technical requirements, proactively identify qualified talent, build strong candidate pipelines, and partner effectively with hiring managers and business leaders.
WORK LOCATION:
The Contract Recruiter position is eligible for remote work based on company requirements, with no minimum in-office requirement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage recruiting for Technical Operations and Engineering positions, from intake and sourcing through screening and interview coordination.
- Recruit for specialized roles including Validation Engineers, CQV Engineers, Capital Project Managers, Facilities Engineers, Reliability Engineers, Process Engineers, Project Engineers, and other technical positions supporting biotech and pharmaceutical operations.
- Develop targeted sourcing strategies to identify passive technical talent within the biotech, pharmaceutical, and life sciences markets.
- Proactively build pipelines for current and anticipated hiring needs, including roles requiring specialized GMP, manufacturing, engineering, and capital project experience.
- Conduct candidate screens to assess technical experience, project background, industry knowledge, availability, compensation expectations, and overall alignment with client and business needs.
- Partner closely with hiring managers and business leaders to understand technical requirements, project needs, timelines, and candidate profiles.
- Provide market insights regarding candidate availability, compensation, competitive hiring activity, and sourcing challenges.
- Maintain accurate and timely candidate and requisition information within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Deliver a high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience through consistent communication and effective management of the recruiting process.
- Balance multiple searches and shifting priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- An Bachelor degree is preferred.
Technical Experience:
- 5+ years of recruiting experience, with significant experience recruiting technical or engineering professionals within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing industries.
- Demonstrated experience recruiting roles such as Validation/CQV Engineers, Facilities Engineers, Reliability Engineers, Capital Project Managers, Process Engineers, Utilities Engineers, and/or other Technical Operations professionals.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of the talent landscape supporting GMP manufacturing environments, capital projects, facilities/utilities, commissioning, qualification, and validation.
- Proven ability to source specialized passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools and techniques.
- Experience managing multiple technical requisitions simultaneously while maintaining urgency and candidate quality.
- Strong ability to understand technical job requirements and translate them into effective sourcing strategies.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and candidate management skills.
