- Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Plus 5 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, Software Architect, or any occupation, job title, position designing, developing, and securing blockchain-based backend systems.
- In lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience, the employer will accept a Master's degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus 3 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, Software Architect, or any occupation, job title, position designing, developing, and securing blockchain-based backend systems.
- 3 years of professional experience developing backend systems utilizing backend programming languages (including Go or Rust)
- 3 years working on protocols that span from L1s to L2s, including when the system is trying to reduce dependence on L1 smart contracts
- 3 years of professional experience collaborating with research teams to conduct cutting-edge research in blockchain technologies and cryptocurrency platforms
- 3 years of professional experience building distributed systems, focusing on reliable broadcast protocols, distributed data structures, and high-performance database storage engines
- 3 years of professional experience working in collaboration with security and with coding in a security-focused mindset in distributed systems environments
- 3 years of professional experience working with blockchain protocols
- 1 year of experience working with WebAssembly, including writing high performant and high security code in production environments
- 1 year of professional experience utilizing cloud infrastructure and containerization technologies (including AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes).

Position is 100% remote; must reside in U.S.; reports to HQ in New York, NY. Salary: $193,461 - $291,000 per year.
