Where these jobs come from
Every listing here is read from the employer's own applicant tracking system (ATS) — the same page their application form sits on. Nothing is copied from another job board. This page says which systems we read, what each one does and does not tell us, and how quickly we notice when a job has been taken down.
What we read
3,439 employer job boards, carrying 62,068 listings shown on this site. A board is one company's own openings inside their ATS; the systems below are the ATS software those companies use.
| System | Boards | Listings | How we know a role is remote | Pay |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Greenhouse | 1,245 | 18,851 | From the location the employer files the posting under. | Where the employer publishes a pay range. |
| Ashby | 1,030 | 15,408 | A workplace type the employer sets, plus the location. | Where the employer publishes a pay range. |
| Workday | 471 | 14,327 | No remote field exists. We find these roles only where the employer writes remote into the location itself. | No pay field. Any figure shown is read from the ad itself. |
| Workable | 582 | 10,455 | A remote flag the employer sets, plus the locations. | No pay field. Any figure shown is read from the ad itself. |
| Lever | 111 | 2,879 | A workplace type the employer sets, plus the location. | Where the employer publishes a pay range. |
| Deel | — | 148 | From the location the employer files the posting under. | Where the employer publishes a pay range. |
Where a system has no field for something, we do not invent one. A pay figure on a listing from a system with no pay field was read from the wording of the ad itself, and is labelled that way on the listing. Roles that are remote without the employer saying so anywhere we can read are roles we will miss.
How quickly we notice a job has gone
Across 62,286 closures we have watched: on every system we read, half were caught within 4.2 hours of the employer taking the job down, and nine in ten within 8.3 hours. A few take longer — a board we could not reach on one pass is read on the next.
| System | Half caught within | 9 in 10 within | Closures measured |
|---|---|---|---|
| Greenhouse | 4.2h | 7.4h | 32,744 |
| Ashby | 4.1h | 7.1h | 11,839 |
| Workday | 2.9h | 7.9h | 5,117 |
| Workable | 4.0h | 8.3h | 10,369 |
| Lever | 3.0h | 6.5h | 2,217 |
How this is measured
- These are upper bounds. The clock starts the last time we saw the job on the employer's board, not the moment they took it down. If we read a board at 9am and again at 1pm and the job has gone, that counts as four hours whether it was removed at 9:01 or at 12:59. The real delay is shorter by an amount we cannot see, so we publish the longer figure.
- It is set by how often we re-read a board. A board that has been quiet is re-read every 4 hours, and a board that changed is re-read hourly. So a closure falls somewhere inside that window, and the middle of it is roughly half.
- A closure counts only if a source proved it. We record the employer's own board no longer carrying the posting. A listing that merely went quiet and aged out is not counted here — that is our guess rather than their answer, and mixing the two would make this number describe our own settings.
- Middle and tail, never an average. One board held back for a day puts a very long observation in the sample; an average would move to somewhere no listing actually was. A system with fewer than 8 measured closures is left out of the table rather than shown with a figure nothing supports.
What this means for what you see
Two things follow from reading employers directly. Every listing links to the employer's own application page, never to another job board — so what you apply through is theirs, not ours. And a closed job keeps its page here, marked closed, instead of quietly disappearing: if you saved it or followed a link to it, you get an answer rather than an error.
Over the last 24 days, readers clicked “Apply” on a listing 1,064 times. That counts the click leaving StillOpen and going to the ATS — not a confirmed application.
The working behind the rest of it — how a role is judged remote, what "verified" means on a listing, where pay figures come from — is on How it works.
For employers
If your jobs are on Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever, Workable, Workday, they are probably here already, for free — and if not, email support@stillopen.work with your board name and we will add them. On any other applicant tracking system (ATS), or none, you can post a job directly. Any listing on the site can also be promoted.
