Job Description
This role is responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for complex automobile accidents. The position determines coverage, liability, and damages, and adjusts and negotiates claims within established authority levels. The role also includes handling injury claims within our Initial Handler Bodily Injury (IHBI) Casualty Unit.National General is hiring an experienced Unrepresented Bodily Injury Consultant or a claims professional with a strong foundation in liability and full claim ownership who is ready to take the next step in their claims career.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with strong time management and organizational skills who can work independently, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential. Experience handling claims in Washington and Nevada is highly desirable, and bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
• Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle for complex cases
• Applies advanced understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department
• Handles investigation regarding all aspects of complex auto claims (coverage, liability and damages) with the exercise discretion and independence within increased level of authority
• For claims involving injuries (if handled), learns how to review, evaluate, and negotiate moderate to complex injury claims
• Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle and understanding other potential property damage
• Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills
Supervisory Responsibilities
• This job does not have supervisory duties.
As a requirement of employment, individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment. Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team. Compensation
Base compensation offered for this role is:Adjuster Analyst III: $50,000.00 - 65,300.00/salary
Adjuster Cons I: $53,500.00 - 77,800.00/salary
Adjuster Cons II: $56,000.00 - 82,500.00/salary
Adjuster Sr. Cons I: $68,500.00 - 104,100.00/salary
Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation for this role may include additional components, such as incentive pay (for example, commission or bonus), if applicable.
