Overview
Leads the design, development, testing, release, and support of complex Business Central and cross-platform mobile solutions. Serves as a technical leader by making sound design decisions, mentoring developers, resolving difficult technical problems, and improving engineering quality and delivery practices.
What This Position Owns
- Complete clearly defined sprint work with support from a Developer or Senior Developer.
- Write code for assigned tasks that meets documented acceptance criteria and team standards.
- Test changes and add appropriate unit tests with guidance.
- Document changes clearly for team members.
- Request code reviews, respond to feedback, and apply lessons to future work.
- Use source control, branching, and work-item practices consistently.
- Track time and maintain accurate updates in work items.
- Maintain a functional local development environment, asking for help when needed.
- Build working knowledge of Business Central, AL, React Native, TypeScript, and RUX products based on assigned work.
- Use approved AI development tools responsibly to improve learning, quality, and efficiency.
- Raise questions, blockers, risks, and unclear requirements early.
- Reliable mobile builds and release-ready changes for iOS and Android when assigned to mobile product work.

- Success is measured by reliable completion of assigned work, quality of code and testing, responsiveness to review feedback, accurate documentation and time tracking, and demonstrated growth in technical capability and independence.
Responsibilities
- Complete small, well-defined enhancements, bug fixes, and technical tasks with regular guidance.
- Follow established coding, security, testing, documentation, and source-control standards.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily coordination, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Validate assigned changes against acceptance criteria before handing for code review.
- Create or update unit tests and technical notes appropriate to the change.
- Work with the team to clarify expected behavior and resolve defects.
- Incorporate code-review feedback and demonstrate continued improvement.
- Communicate progress, blockers, risks, and changes in scope promptly.
- Learn relevant Business Central functionality and RUX product workflows.
- For mobile assignments, support UI changes, API integrations, device testing, and platform-specific fixes under guidance.
- Assist with mobile build, signing, testing, and store-submission activities without owning the release process.
- Build toward independent ownership of recurring features and deliverables expected at the Developer level.
- Support mobile build, signing, testing, and submission activities for Apple App Store and Google Play releases.
Qualifications
- Foundational software-development knowledge gained through a degree, certificate program, internship, professional experience, or equivalent project work.
- Basic proficiency in at least one relevant language or framework. Experience with AL, React Native, or TypeScript is helpful, but expertise across all three is not required.
- Working knowledge of programming fundamentals, debugging, testing, source control, and API concepts.
- Ability to follow defined requirements, ask effective questions, accept feedback, document work, and collaborate with team members.
