This is a collaborative, high-output environment where designers work closely with developers and business stakeholders to bring bold ideas to life across Shopify and beyond.
Role Overview
The Senior UX/UI Shopify Designer is a senior-level design hire who will own the end-to-end web design experience across Shopify - from landing pages and PDPs to homepage sections and collection pages. The Senior UX/UI Shopify Designer brings a deep understanding of ecommerce user behavior, conversion principles, and mobile-first design, and is equally capable of producing compelling graphic and marketing assets as a secondary function. This is approximately a 60/40 web-to-graphic design role requiring both strategic thinking and fast, high-quality execution.

Key Responsibilities
Shopify & Web Design - Primary Responsibility
Design and iterate on landing pages, PDPs, collection pages, and homepage sections for desktop and mobile.
Own the full design cycle from concept to developer handoff.
Build and optimize landing pages for A/B testing and conversion improvements.
Design with a mobile-first mindset, ensuring responsive and performant layouts.
Use AI-assisted tools to rapidly generate concepts and creative assets.
Maintain visual consistency across the entire site.
Collaborate closely with developers and key stakeholders throughout the design process.
Contribute strategic UX and CRO recommendations based on data and best practices.
Analyze performance data and iterate on design to improve effectiveness.
Graphic Design & Marketing Assets - Secondary Responsibility
Design social media graphics, paid ad creatives, email banners, and campaign assets.
Support marketing initiatives with on-brand creative deliverables.
Maintain brand consistency across all channels and touchpoints.
Help evolve and refine the existing brand system over time.
Qualifications - Experience
5+ years of hands-on Shopify and web design experience.
Extensive portfolio showcasing real Shopify stores, PDPs, and landing pages.
Strong understanding of ecommerce user behavior and CRO principles.
Advanced proficiency in Figma.
Strong proficiency in Canva and Adobe Photoshop.
Active user of AI-assisted design tools for concept and asset generation.
Exceptional mobile and responsive design skills.
Experience in startup, scaleup, or high-growth ecommerce environments.
Strong understanding of Shopify themes and platform capabilities.
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Shopify theme architecture (nice to have).
Experience collaborating directly with Shopify developers (nice to have).
Familiarity with Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, or similar email platforms (nice to have).
Familiarity with CRO methodologies and analytics tools (nice to have).
Experience in wellness, education, health, or consumer brands (nice to have).
