Our client has an established reporting foundation supported by a central data team, including schemas, core datasets, and dashboards. They are seeking an analyst to work on top of this existing infrastructure and turn day-to-day business questions into clear, structured analysis and actionable reporting.
Role Overview
The Business Analyst (Marketing) will serve as a go-to resource for day-to-day business analysis, investigating changes in key metrics and translating findings into reporting that stakeholders can act on.
This is a hands-on role combining analytical thinking with practical execution. The Marketing Analyst will conduct business analyses, own recurring reporting, maintain dashboards, query existing datasets using SQL, and support stakeholders with ad hoc analysis requests.
The role requires someone who can independently structure an investigation while also managing the ongoing maintenance and detail-oriented work required to keep reporting accurate, current, and easy to use.

Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis
Turn open-ended business questions into structured, well-reasoned analyses.
Scope business questions and determine the appropriate data needed for analysis.
Investigate changes in business metrics.
Deliver clear findings and recommendations based on analysis.
Recurring Reporting
Own and maintain recurring reports and dashboards.
Ensure stakeholders have timely, accurate, and consistent views of performance.
Dashboard Maintenance
Manage ongoing dashboard hygiene and upkeep.
Update workbooks and adjust dashboard layouts.
Keep visualizations clean, organized, and easy to read.
Data Exploration
Write SQL to query existing datasets from established schemas.
Create previews of data models based on business questions.
Work with the existing data infrastructure without needing to build or maintain the underlying infrastructure.
Stakeholder Support
Serve as a reliable analysis resource for the team.
Respond to ad hoc analysis requests.
Help stakeholders understand what the numbers mean.
Qualifications
Experience
3+ years of experience in a data analysis, business analysis, or reporting role.
Experience independently structuring and working through analyses from broad business questions.
Hands-on experience with a modern BI or analytics tool such as Sigma, which is strongly preferred.
Experience with Tableau or a similar platform is transferable.
Experience with Salesforce reporting, including building and pulling reports and dashboards, is a plus.
Familiarity working alongside a central data or analytics engineering team is a plus.
Exposure to marketing metrics and funnel analysis, including MQLs and campaign performance, is a plus.
Skills
Solid working knowledge of SQL for querying and exploring data.
Ability to break down broad business questions, investigate them, and communicate the answer.
Ability to maintain dashboards, including formatting, layouts, and ongoing upkeep.
Ability to clearly present analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Comfort with manual and detail-oriented reporting work.
Experience using AI tools such as Claude for data analysis and Claude Code for workflow acceleration is a plus.
What Success Looks Like
Open-ended business questions are translated into structured analyses with clear findings and recommendations.
Recurring reports and dashboards provide timely, accurate, and consistent views of performance.
Dashboards remain current, organized, and easy to read.
Existing datasets are effectively queried and explored using SQL.
Stakeholders receive reliable analytical support and can clearly understand what the numbers mean.
