About Us:

Innatera is a rapidly growing Dutch semiconductor company that develops ultra-efficient neuromorphic processors for AI at the edge. These microprocessors mimic the brain’s mechanisms for processing fast data streams from sensors, enabling complex turn-key sensor analytics functionalities, with 10,000x higher performance per watt than competing solutions. Innatera's technology serves as a critical enabler for next-generation use cases in the IoT, wearable, embedded, and automotive domains.

To support our rapid product roadmap, we are seeking a Senior Compiler Engineer to help drive the evolution of our next-generation compiler framework to enable more complicated use cases, and achieve better performance on our chip. As a core member of our SDK team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end compiler development lifecycle and collaborate with cross-functional peers to extract maximum value for our customers.

We will trust you with:

  • Design and implement the compiler for next-generation AI accelerator architectures, enabling new network topologies while maximizing chip performance and energy efficiency.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with SDK team members as well as algorithm, architecture, and hardware teams to gather compiler requirements.

  • Provide feedback to hardware engineers to refine future architectural designs based on insights gained from compiler optimizations.

  • Stay at the forefront of neural network compiler technologies, introducing innovative solutions and industry best practices to the team.

What will you need to succeed:

  • Proficiency in Python and C++ programming;

  • Knowledge of neural networks and familiarity with standard model architectures;

  • Hands-on experience with popular deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow;

  • Hands-on experience with common compiler frameworks for neural networks, such as MLIR or TVM;

  • Strong understanding of computer architecture alongside practical experience optimizing performance for targeted hardware;

  • Rapid prototyping capabilities for testing new ideas;

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with a machine learning compiler like IREE, ExecuTorch, ONNXRuntime, or similar compiler backend code generation experience (GCC, LLVM, etc.)

  • Experience with RISC-V architecture, especially the vector extension

  • Knowledge of digital/analog electrical circuits;

  • Knowledge of spike neural networks;

  • Knowledge of embedded platform and runtime;

  • Knowledge of graph algorithms, constraint solver, or heuristic algorithms.
