The listing
ABOUT THE COMPANY:
We're an established finance and mortgage broking business writing residential, commercial and asset finance across a broad lender panel. We're looking for a senior processing and submission specialist to take ownership of our loan files from acceptance through to settlement.
This is a role for someone who has outgrown pure administration. If you already read a file and see the credit risks before the assessor does — and you'd rather fix a deal than forward a decline — we want to talk to you.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a Senior Mortgage Credit Analyst Support to serve as a vital bridge between our 4 brokers and 3 Melbourne-based Credit Analysts. This is not an entry-level admin or basic data-entry job—we need an analytical, proactive processor who can interpret lender policies, assess complex income structures, and deliver audit-ready deal packages ready for high-level credit review.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Preparation & Structuring:
- Collect, audit, and analyze client financial documents using Hello packs and MyCRM.
- Perform serviceability calculations, income shading, HEM benchmark comparisons, and debt-to-income (DTI) analysis.
- Analyze self-employed financials (tax returns, financial statements) and identify allowable add-backs.
- Interpret lender credit policy (e.g., CBA, Macquarie, RedZed) to determine appropriate lender fit and flag decline risks early.
Workflow & CRM Management:
- Maintain complete compliance records (signed consents, fact finds, BID notes).
- Ensure file completeness (aiming for 80%–100% data and document readiness prior to handoff).
- Keep status, notes, and tasks updated in MyCRM so any team member can review a file seamlessly.
Team Collaboration:
- Package and present fully prepared files to onshore Senior Credit Analysts for final review and submission via Apply Online / NextGen.
- Actively communicate policy nuances or missing information directly with brokers and credit staff.
Requirements
- 3+ years in Australian residential loan processing, submissions, or lender credit assessment.
- Strong understanding of serviceability mechanics (buffer rates, HECS/HELP treatment, credit card limit loading, LVR/LMI thresholds).
- Experience with MyCRM (LMG) is highly regarded. Candidates with experience in other Australian mortgage CRMs who demonstrate high technical aptitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Articulate written/verbal English skills with a proactive approach to highlighting potential file issues.
- Ability to work fixed Australian business hours (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM AEST).
