Job Role: Office Admin & Finance Assistant
Compensation range: $1,500 AUD - $2,000 AUD / Monthly
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who The Client Is: Our client is an Australian creative communications agency that works with well-known brands and organisations to create engaging campaigns across PR, social media, digital, content, events, and influencer marketing. It’s a dynamic environment where great ideas come to life and reach audiences across Australia.
Role Overview: We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Office Admin & Finance Assistant to support the founding partners and wider team of a growing Australian creative agency. You’ll help manage finance, scheduling, and daily operations while taking initiative and keeping things on track. The role offers the opportunity to grow into greater responsibility as the business scales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other reconciliation tasks with the Financial Controller
- Manage calendars, travel booking platform, and scheduling for the business partners.
- Support performance review administration and timelines, management of paperwork and scheduling.
- Handle office administration and purchasing across three offices.
- Follow and improve existing systems, processes, and SOPs.
- Use AI tools to improve efficiency and processes.
- Support execution of culture club and marketing events across the office, as briefed by management team.
- Provide general administrative support as needed.
Requirements
- 2–3+ years of experience in finance administration, EA support, or a similar role.
- Admin support: calendar and inbox management, travel coordination, and general office administration.
- Finance administration: AP/AR, receipt reconciliation, purchasing expenses, and systems such as Xero/MYOB/QuickBooks.
- Strong Google Workspace skills for day-to-day administration and scheduling.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial and confidential information.
- Confident spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate directly with the Australian team via Zoom.
- Proactive, organised, and able to work independently with good judgement.
- Comfortable using AI tools and learning new systems and processes.

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
