Job Role: Social Media and Content Marketing Specialist
Compensation range: $1,500 AUD/month
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Role Overview: We're looking for a creative, strategic and proactive Social Media & Content Marketing Specialist to help grow the online presence of three businesses within the corporate keynote speaker industry.
This is a content-first role where you'll create engaging social media content, manage multiple social channels, and help build brand awareness, audience engagement and event registrations. If you enjoy turning ideas into compelling content and know how to grow an engaged online community, we'd love to hear from you.
You'll work across three complementary businesses:
- Speaker management agency
- Corporate keynote speaker bureau
- Speaker business coaching and education brand
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Social Media Management
- Plan, create and publish engaging content across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and other relevant platforms.
- Repurpose podcasts, keynote presentations, articles, interviews and media appearances into social media content.
- Create posts highlighting client testimonials, success stories, awards, milestones and event highlights.
- Promote workshops, webinars, masterclasses and live events through organic social campaigns.
- Develop content calendars and maintain a consistent posting schedule across multiple brands.
- Monitor engagement, respond to comments where appropriate, and identify opportunities to grow audiences organically.
- Track content performance and suggest improvements based on analytics and insights.
- Collaborate with the team to generate fresh content ideas aligned with business goals.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Perform basic video editing for social media content, including short-form clips and simple event highlights.
- Assist with Meta Ads campaigns, including boosting posts when required.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing social media accounts for businesses or brands.
- Strong copywriting skills with excellent written English.
- Experience creating engaging content for LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram.
- Ability to develop content that increases brand awareness and audience engagement.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple brands and priorities.
- Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
Nice to Have
- Basic video editing skills using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve or similar.
- Experience with Meta Ads.
- Canva or Adobe Creative Suite experience.
- Experience in events, conferences, education or professional services.
Work Arrangement & Expectations:
This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
