The listing
We currently have a vacancy for a Performance/Resilience Test Engineer fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert remotely (within EU). In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team.
Tasks:
- Create the non-functional test plan and update the test plan for review to manager/leader;
- Plan, prepare execute and analyse the non-functional testing activities as required;
- Develop a strategy for end-to-end non-functional testing of the solution;
- Develop the performance test script using the tools available for all the identified performance and resilience testing scenarios; involve in preparation of performance test data;
- Execute the various non-functional tests including resilience, recovery, load test, stress test, endurance test, capacity test;
- Analyse the resource usage during test execution to verify the performance of the applications and identify bottleneck problem in the application;
- Review test results captured during test execution, support the identification of non-functional issues and make recommendations;
- Enable other QA engineers and developers in running non-functional tests;
- Provide technical assistance to improve system performance, capacity, reliability and scalability;
- Develop standards and best practices for writing robust, maintainable, and performant load testing scripts;
- Evaluate system performances and stability and recommend improvements.
Requirements
- University degree in IT combined with relevant professional experience of at least 6 years in non-functional testing and associated tooling;
- Expertise in Test Planning, Test Estimation, Test Strategy, Workload Design, Test Cases Design, Test Platform Setup, Test Data Setup and Defect Management;
- Good Hands-on knowledge on performance test tool JMeter or Gatling;
- Capacity in writing documents;
- Ability to present findings and recommendations to team members, management and customers;
- Experience in agile software development and testing methodologies;
- Experience using Chaos/Kraken for resilience testing will be considered a plus;
- Hands on Java experience from automation point of view will be considered a plus;
- Experience in complex setups including several integrated systems will be considered a plus;
- Experience in micro-services based private cloud hosted solution will be considered a plus;
- Excellent command of the English language.
