Job Overview:
We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented Web Designer to craft engaging, user-centered website experiences for a diverse portfolio of brands. This is a design-focused role for someone who enjoys solving visual and usability challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and creating websites that are both aesthetically compelling and conversion-focused.
The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio of modern website designs, understands user experience best practices, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced remote environment.
Please note: This is a design-only position and does not involve front-end or back-end web development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design visually compelling, user-friendly websites for a variety of industries and business sizes.
- Create wireframes, user flows, mockups, and high-fidelity designs from concept through final approval.
- Design responsive experiences that perform seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Collaborate closely with developers to ensure design intent is accurately translated into the final website.
- Work within project requirements, timelines, and established brand guidelines.
- Apply UX and conversion optimization principles to improve usability and user engagement.
- Organize and maintain clean, scalable design systems and project files.
- Incorporate stakeholder feedback while maintaining design quality and consistency.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Qualifications
- 3 to 4 years of professional experience in web design.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating modern, responsive websites that have been launched successfully.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, including Auto Layout, Components, Variants, and design systems.
- Strong understanding of responsive web design and mobile-first design principles.
- Solid knowledge of user experience (UX), user interface (UI), and conversion-focused design.
- Experience designing websites for Shopify and WordPress platforms.
- Familiarity with website structure, layouts, and theme customization from a designer’s perspective.
- Understanding of accessibility best practices, including color contrast, typography, navigation, and inclusive design.
- Excellent visual design skills, including typography, spacing, composition, color theory, and hierarchy.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a remote team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience creating design systems and reusable UI component libraries.
- Familiarity with website analytics or conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles.
- Basic understanding of HTML and CSS to facilitate collaboration with developers.
- Experience working in a digital agency or managing multiple client brands simultaneously.
- Knowledge of current web design trends, interaction patterns, and emerging UX best practices.
