The listing
I'm Nick Walsh, Head of Performance Sales at Teamworks. The DI college performance market is one of the fastest-growing segments in sports technology, and we're sharpening our focus to go after it the right way. That means building a dedicated motion around our Performance product line, led by High Performance (AMS) and EMR, backed by Strength & Conditioning and Nutrition, with someone who has actually run a performance department from the inside.
This is not a traditional sales role. We're looking for a practitioner-turned-commercial professional who has held a senior performance leadership position inside a DI program or a national/state high-performance institute, and who understands what it takes to build, run, and scale a performance operation because they've done it themselves.
The RoleOwn and grow a pipeline of DI prospects across the full Performance category, with AMS, EMR, and S&C as your lead product
Lead consultative discovery conversations with Directors of Athletic Performance, Head Athletic Trainers, and sport administrators
Partner with Customer Success to identify expansion and renewal opportunities within existing DI accounts
Represent Teamworks at DI-specific industry events, conferences, and site visits
Provide market intelligence back to product and marketing based on your practitioner network and field experience
What You Must Bring
Hands-on senior leadership experience inside a Division I athletics program or a national/state high-performance institute, in any sport, because your credibility with performance leaders is the difference here
Deep firsthand understanding of how DI programs actually make budget and purchasing decisions, including who holds influence at different levels within an athletic department
A Masters degree in a Performance-related Sports discipline
A natural networker with existing relationships across the DI performance community
Comfort operating in a fast-moving, target-driven environment while managing a complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycle
Why This Role
You'll get to stay in the sport you've built your career around, without the grind of a season on the road. Instead of building one program, you'll help dozens of them level up, working across the DI landscape with the backing of a market-leading product suite and a team that speaks your language. If you've spent your career building performance programs from the inside and you're ready to help others do the same at scale, this is your next move.
This role is not eligible for sponsorship at this time.
