Looking for Philippines-based candidates

Job Role: Telesales Development Representative

Work Schedule: 9:00 AM-5:00 PM AU Business Hours

Compensation range: $1,500 AUD - $2,000 AUD / Monthly (before tax and deductions)

Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be formally employed through an Employer of Record (EOR) arrangement. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote, so you’ll be able to work from home.

Who The Client Is: An Australian field sales and merchandising business that helps FMCG brands win in independent retail. They represent some of Australia's most popular brands through a national team of merchandisers, field teams and account managers. Their clients rely on them to be their feet on the ground across the independent grocery network, making sure their products get on shelf, stay on shelf, and sell.

Role Overview: The Telesales Development Representative role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships over the phone and takes pride in being organised, reliable and easy to deal with. Because this is a brand new function, you will not be inheriting someone else's process. You will help design the call cycle, shape how we work with these stores, and set the standard for the team as it grows.

You will receive full training on our client's products, the order entry portal and the Australian independent grocery landscape, along with ongoing day-to-day support from your Sydney-based Account Manager. We offer competitive remuneration and genuine scope for the role to grow as the function expands.

Key Responsibilities:

Store Onboarding and Contact Mapping

  • In the establishment phase, work through the full store list to introduce the service and record each retailer's preferred means of contact, key contact person, and best day and time to call.
  • Build an accurate, reliable contact base that the ongoing call cycle depends on.

Daily Call Cycle Management

  • Work through an assigned list of independent grocery stores each day, reaching the right person at each site to check stock levels and establish whether an order is needed.
  • Maintain call discipline so every store in the cycle is contacted on schedule and no account is missed.

Order Capture and Entry

  • Take orders accurately over the phone and enter them into the order entry portal promptly and without error.
  • Confirm product codes, quantities and delivery expectations so that orders flow through cleanly and stores receive what they expect.

Promotional and Seasonal Selling

  • Talk customers through current promotions, new lines and seasonal ranges as they come up.
  • Make sure stores know what is available and when, and encourage incremental orders where the opportunity is there.

Customer Relationship Building

  • Become a familiar and welcome voice for the stores in your cycle.
  • Build genuine rapport with independent retailers, respond to their questions promptly, and represent the company and the client professionally on every call.

Record Keeping and Reporting

  • Keep clear notes of every call, including outcomes, orders placed and any issues raised.
  • Flag out of stocks, delivery problems, declining order patterns or unhappy customers to the Sydney-based Account Manager, and provide a regular summary of call activity and store feedback.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of previous experience in telesales, outbound customer service or phone-based order taking; FMCG, grocery or wholesale experience highly regarded.
  • Excellent spoken and written English, with a clear, friendly telephone manner and the confidence to build rapport with Australian retailers.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when capturing and entering order data.
  • Comfortable working independently to a daily call plan without close supervision.
  • Confident with technology, including order entry portals, CRM systems, Excel and email.
  • Willing and able to work Australian business hours (AEST/AEDT) consistently, including the seasonal daylight saving change.
  • A reliable home working set-up: quiet workspace, stable high-speed internet, and a good quality headset.
  • Resilient, self-motivated and comfortable with routine, repetition and a high volume of calls.
  • Comfortable with a degree of ambiguity and energised by building something new rather than stepping into an established process.

Work Arrangement & Expectations:

This is a remote role that will be set up via an Employer of Record (EOR) service.

To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:

  • Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
  • Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile
