We work directly with different industries including Automotive, Energy, Aeronautics, Banking & Insurance, Telecom & Multimedia, and Rail; offering services ranging from project design development to test/validation, programming, implementation, and manufacturing.
ALTEN Mexico as a subsidiary of the ALTEN Group. Currently working with international clients, and we are looking for Mechanical Engineers who will contribute to the development of an Iron Air Battery, a large-scale energy storage solution, to design and optimize the mechanical, thermal, plastics, and electrical routing systems of the Iron Air Battery to ensure functionality, durability, and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities
- Design mechanical, thermal, and plastic components (e.g., structures, radiators, housings, ducts).
- Perform thermal, structural, and fatigue analyses to ensure component integrity.
- Optimize designs for weight reduction, cost efficiency, and manufacturability (DFM/DFA).
- Develop 2D/3D technical drawings and documentation (BOM, GD&T).
- Validate designs through physical testing (e.g., load, vibration, corrosion tests).
- Integrate mechanical, thermal, and electrical systems to ensure overall functionality.
- Collaborate with CAE, EE, and manufacturing teams to align designs with project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards (e.g., UL, IEC, ASME).
Requirements
Must‑Have Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering or related fields.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Experience using the Google Suite.
For Thermal:
- Knowledge of thermal system design (e.g., radiators, cooling systems, heat dissipation).
- Familiarity with thermal safety standards (e.g., UL 94, IEC 60695).
For Mechanical:
- Experience with FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus) for structural and fatigue analysis.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturing/Assembly).
- Ability to generate 2D/3D technical drawings and BOM (Bill of Materials).
- Knowledge of plastic materials (e.g., polypropylene, ABS, PEEK) and their properties.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, thermoforming).
For Routing/Electrical Packaging:
- Knowledge of wiring standards (e.g., IPC-A-620).
- Ability to design cable routing and harness systems that avoid interference with mechanical/thermal components.
English level B2–C1.
Preferred Skills
Industry Knowledge:
- Experience in energy storage systems (e.g., batteries, iron-air technology).
- Familiarity with large-scale mechanical or industrial projects.
Software and Tools:
- Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW for automation or data analysis.
- Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems (e.g., TeamCenter, Windchill).
Standards and Compliance:
- Knowledge of safety and industry standards (e.g., NFPA 69, IEC 62485, ASME, ISO).
