Who We Are
The Solana Foundation is a non-profit based in Zug, Switzerland, dedicated to the adoption, decentralization, and security of the Solana network. Solana is a high performance blockchain that can deliver a fast and friendly user experience, without sacrificing security. The Solana Foundation is working to realize a world where individuals own their data, use permissionless networks, and transfer information and value freely around the world. We are looking for talented people who are willing to jump right in and use their expertise to help the ecosystem build.
What We Do
The Solana Foundation's marketing and communications team tells the story of what is being built on Solana. We work across developers and founders, traders and crypto-native users, institutions and capital-market participants, payments companies and merchants, enterprises and consumer platforms, and the policymakers and media who shape how all of it is understood. We are deliberately lean, fast, and close to the work.
The Opportunity
Solana's voice on X is one of the strongest in crypto. The people we need to reach next, younger developers, users outside the US, anyone touching onchain finance for the first time, spend their time on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and others.
We're hiring a New Media Lead to build Solana's presence beyond X and create the franchises people come back for. This is a maker's role. You'll write it, shoot it, get it made it, post it, and read the numbers, at the speed crypto moves. You'll work alongside our new media lead and own the new platforms and formats, so the team covers ground it can't today.
To be Successful in this role
You will:
Develop a growth thesis for each new platform—YouTube, TikTok, Fomo, and whatever comes next—building content specifically for the platform rather than lifting it from X.
Create recurring formats that people subscribe to, rather than relying on one-off posts.
Build a bench of on-camera talent from across the ecosystem, including founders, builders, and creators who can carry a format.
Plan and produce content around Breakpoint, Accelerate, and Hacker Houses, developing the strategy before the event rather than cutting content afterwards.
Develop regional and non-English formats tailored to where audiences already exist.
Turn around content quickly when moments matter, operating in hours rather than days.
Translate audience insights into actionable feedback for the wider team.
Integrate new-platform content into priority campaigns and launches alongside the Social Lead.
Manage editors and contractors to a consistent cadence and within budget.
Create content that clears legal review without losing its edge.
Prioritize retention, subscriptions, and participation as measures of success, treating impressions as a byproduct.
You ideally have:
Demonstrable success growing a YouTube channel or comparable long-form video presence, with numbers you can show and explain
Hands-on production skill: you can take an idea to a published video without waiting for an agency
Native fluency in crypto culture, including the parts that are difficult to explain to outsiders
A strong instinct for format- you understand why one video works and a near-identical one does not
Comfort being on camera, or a clear plan for who is
The judgment to represent a foundation rather than a personal brand, without becoming corporate
Fluency with AI tooling across scripting, editing, thumbnail iteration, localisation and performance analysis
Bonus points:
You have built an audience of your own
Editing skill in Premiere, CapCut, After Effects or equivalent
Experience with non-English audiences and localization
You have strong views on what crypto content gets wrong
