About the Role
Imagine this. You are building Destinus' presence across one of Europe's most strategically important defense markets, connecting advanced autonomous flight technologies with the governments, armed forces, and industry partners shaping the future of Baltic security.
As Business Development Manager for the Baltic Region, you will own and develop opportunities across Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. Ideally based in Lithuania, you will build relationships across the regional defense ecosystem, identify and shape opportunities early, navigate government procurement, and turn customer requirements into concrete programs and partnerships. This is a hands-on commercial role for someone who understands that business development in defense happens in the field, not behind a desk.
At Destinus, we are revolutionizing the defense industry with cutting-edge Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Our innovative technologies are designed to meet the unique demands of modern defense operations, delivering unparalleled speed, precision, and cost effectiveness. Destinus partners with government agencies and defense organizations worldwide to provide advanced solutions for mission-critical operations, enabling a new era of efficiency and technological superiority. Join us in shaping the future of defense with groundbreaking aerospace innovations.
What You'll Do
- Identify, develop, and manage business opportunities across Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, with a strong focus on defense, UAV technologies, autonomous systems, and government procurement
- Build trusted relationships with ministries of defense, armed forces, government agencies, defense organizations, local industry partners, and other key stakeholders across the Baltic region
- Develop and execute market strategies for the Baltic countries, identifying where Destinus technologies can address current and emerging defense requirements
- Lead opportunities throughout the full business development cycle, from initial engagement and qualification through proposals, negotiations, and contract award
- Lead and support bids, tenders, proposals, and other procurement processes, ensuring strong commercial positioning and alignment with customer requirements
- Develop a deep understanding of Baltic defense priorities, procurement frameworks, capability requirements, budgets, and competitive dynamics
- Identify potential local partnerships and industrial cooperation opportunities that strengthen Destinus' position and long-term presence in the region
- Work closely with engineering, product, legal, finance, and program teams to translate customer requirements into technically and commercially viable solutions
- Represent Destinus at customer meetings, defense exhibitions, demonstrations, industry events, and strategic engagements throughout the Baltics and internationally
- Maintain a clear and actionable regional opportunity pipeline, ensuring opportunities are properly qualified, prioritized, and progressed
- Travel frequently across Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and other European markets as required
Requirements
What You'll Need
- At least 5 years of experience in business development, sales, government relations, procurement, or a similar commercial role within defense, aerospace, UAVs, autonomous systems, or related technologies
- Strong understanding of the Baltic defense ecosystem, ideally with an established network across Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, or the wider Nordic and Eastern European region
- Experience working with government customers, armed forces, ministries of defense, defense procurement organizations, or major industry partners
- Good understanding of public procurement, tenders, bids, and complex defense sales cycles
- Proven ability to develop opportunities from early customer engagement through negotiation and contract award
- Strong commercial judgment and the ability to understand both the technical and strategic dimensions of a customer requirement
- Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
- Fluent English is required
- Lithuanian, Latvian, or Estonian language skills are highly valued, particularly Lithuanian for candidates based in Lithuania
- Ability to operate independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary and international teams
- Willingness to travel frequently across the Baltic region and internationally
- Eligibility to work with defense-related technologies and obtain relevant security clearances where required
Who You Are
You are commercially sharp, proactive, and comfortable operating in a defense environment where relationships, timing, and execution matter. You know how to open doors, understand what customers actually need, and turn conversations into real opportunities. You are equally comfortable speaking with military stakeholders, procurement teams, engineers, and senior decision-makers. You take ownership, move quickly, and enjoy building a market rather than inheriting one.
