The listing
As a Production Designer, you will be responsible for producing high-quality print and digital assets within an established brand and template system for a major client. You will adapt content across formats while ensuring that every deliverable maintains exact consistency in typography, spacing, imagery, alignment, placement, and overall execution.
This is a precision-focused production role rather than a highly conceptual design position. You will work within an established system and find the right design solutions to make content fit that system—not change the system to accommodate the content. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail-oriented, meticulous, and comfortable painstakingly reviewing their own work to ensure every asset is accurate and consistent before it moves forward.
You should also be comfortable working in an environment where production volume can fluctuate. Some days may involve a heavy queue of deliverables and tight timelines, while others may be lighter. You will need to remain flexible, organized, and ready to adjust based on the needs of the account.
Responsibilities
● Produce high-quality print and digital assets from existing brand templates, including social assets, display ads, email, web banners, signage, direct mail, and collateral
● Adapt content across different sizes, formats, and channels while maintaining strict consistency with established templates and brand standards
● Ensure details such as spacing, leading, typography, alignment, image placement, QR-code placement, hierarchy, and other design elements remain consistent across deliverables
● Determine how copy, imagery, pricing, legal information, localization, and other content should fit within established templates without unnecessarily altering the underlying system
● Prepare print-ready files according to production specifications, including bleeds, trims, color profiles, resolution, and preflight requirements
● Export and prepare digital assets according to platform specifications, file-size requirements, and naming conventions
● Thoroughly QA and proof your own work before submitting it for internal or client review, identifying and correcting inconsistencies or errors before files move forward
● Manage multiple production requests and deadlines while maintaining the same level of accuracy and attention to detail during higher-volume periods
● Manage your production queue in ClickUp, keeping project statuses current, logging time accurately, and proactively flagging potential deadline risks
● Implement client and internal feedback accurately and efficiently while protecting the integrity of the established template system
● Proactively ask questions and seek clarification when requirements, content, or direction are unclear rather than making assumptions
● Maintain organized template libraries, asset folders, files, and version control to support an efficient production workflow
● Collaborate effectively with project management, copy, creative leads, and other stakeholders to obtain the information needed to complete work accurately
Requirements
● 2+ years of experience as a Production Designer, Graphic Designer, or similar role involving hands-on design production
● Demonstrated experience producing both print and digital assets within established brand guidelines or template systems
● Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify subtle inconsistencies in spacing, typography, alignment, imagery, placement, and formatting
● Strong ability to work within established design systems and templates without unnecessarily deviating from defined standards
● Strong self-QA and proofreading habits, with a track record of carefully reviewing work for accuracy before submission
● Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
● Proficiency in Figma
● Hands-on experience preparing print-production files and working with printers or production vendors
● Strong understanding of typography, layout, spacing, hierarchy, color, and fundamental design principles
● Ability to manage high-volume production work and multiple deadlines without sacrificing accuracy or consistency
● Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the confidence to ask questions and clarify requirements when information is incomplete or unclear
● Flexible and comfortable working with fluctuating production volume, including heavier production days and quieter periods
● Organized, dependable, and able to work effectively within established processes and workflows
● A portfolio demonstrating strong print and digital production work, ideally showing adaptation of established brand systems across multiple formats
Nice to Have
● Previous experience working within a creative, advertising, or performance marketing agency
● Experience supporting a large or enterprise-level client with strict brand standards and high-volume production needs
● Experience managing extensive template libraries or producing multiple variations from master creative
● Experience working in ClickUp or a similar project and production management platform
● Experience collaborating remotely with project managers, copywriters, creative leads, and other cross-functional stakeholders
