Position Summary
We're looking for a driven, relationship-oriented Account Executive to own and grow UniCourt's presence across the Central US market. This territory includes some of the fastest-growing legal markets in the country, with significant opportunity across large law firms headquartered or operating in the region.
You'll own the full sales cycle — from prospecting and pipeline development through negotiation and close — selling UniCourt's API-first legal data platform to large law firms and enterprises. The ideal candidate has deep familiarity with the Central US legal landscape, existing relationships within large law, and a track record of selling enterprise B2B data or legal tech solutions. You're comfortable engaging C-Suite and innovation leaders, and you know how to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
This is a true hunter role. You'll be expected to build pipeline, develop territory strategy, and drive new business while collaborating closely with marketing, product, and customer success.
Duties & Responsibilities
Own and execute a territory plan for the Central US, with a focus on large law firms across key metro areas such as Chicago, St. Louis, and Kansas City.
Prospect, qualify, and close new enterprise accounts within the territory.
Build and maintain relationships with C-Suite executives, knowledge management leaders, and innovation teams at target firms.
Employ a consultative sales approach to understand client needs and position UniCourt's data platform as a tailored solution.
Manage complex deal cycles involving implementation, integration, and data partners.
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and sales leadership to refine messaging, share market intelligence, and inform go-to-market strategy.
Represent UniCourt at Central regional legal industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
Stay current on competitive landscape, market trends, and developments in the Southeast legal market.
Drive individual sales targets while contributing to overall team objectives.
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Bachelor's degree required; JD or MBA preferred.
5+ years of enterprise B2B sales experience, ideally selling data solutions, APIs, or legal technology to large law firms.
Demonstrated experience and existing relationships within the Southeast US legal market strongly preferred.
Experience selling to knowledge management, innovation, business intelligence, or information departments within large law.
Familiarity with structured data solutions including APIs, MDM, CDP, BI tools, and data analytics platforms.
Proven ability to manage multi-stakeholder deal cycles with implementation or integration partners.
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
Self-starter mentality with strong organizational skills and the ability to operate independently within a remote team.
Willingness to travel regularly within the Central territory.
Compensation
Base salary range: $100,000–$150,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a commission-eligible role, and on-target earnings will be discussed during the interview process. UniCourt is committed to transparent, equitable compensation practices and discusses compensation openly from the first conversation.
Benefits
Competitive compensation and benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental, and vision coverage, equity participation, and long-term growth opportunities within a fast-scaling legal technology company.
