NETGEAR is seeking a technically strong and customer-focused Senior Systems Engineer to support our Professional AV (Pro AV), Enterprise, and IT customers across the Middle East and Africa (MEA).
This role combines deep expertise in AV-over-IP and enterprise networking with technical leadership throughout the sales cycle. Based in Dubai, you will act as a trusted advisor to system integrators, consultants, enterprise customers, and channel partners - influencing solution design, supporting high-profile projects, and positioning NETGEAR as the leading networking provider for modern AV and enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Partner with Sales, consultants, and channel partners to deliver pre-sales technical consultation, solution design, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts.
• Design and architect converged AV/IT network solutions for enterprise, hospitality, government, education, and large venue environments.
• Provide technical leadership across Ethernet switching, Wi-Fi, multicast networking, and AV-over-IP deployments.
• Work closely with system integrators and consultants to ensure interoperability across AV ecosystems (encoders/decoders, DSPs, control systems, video platforms).
• Serve as the technical bridge between customers, partners, and NETGEAR Support, ensuring smooth project delivery and post-sales transition.
• Design secure and scalable networks using segmentation, Zero Trust principles, and role-based access for mixed AV/IT environments.
• Promote and support cloud-managed networking solutions, including remote monitoring, zero-touch provisioning, and lifecycle management.
• Support large-scale and high-profile deployments including smart buildings, hospitality venues, campuses, and live event environments.
• Enable the regional partner ecosystem (AV integrators, consultants, distributors, MSPs) through technical training, best practices, and joint engagements.
• Represent NETGEAR at regional industry events, trade shows, and partner engagements.
• Serve as the voice of the customer, providing feedback to Product Management to influence product development and roadmap priorities.
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, Pro AV Engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
• Proven experience working with system integrators, consultants, and enterprise customers in the MEA region.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across wired, wireless, and IP-based media networks.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including IT teams, AV professionals, consultants, and executive audiences.
• Strong presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent organisational and project coordination abilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multicultural, and partner-driven environment.
• Fluent in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
Technical Expertise
• Layer 2/Layer 3 networking - VLANs, routing, link aggregation, and segmentation.
• AV-over-IP networking - multicast design and optimisation (IGMP snooping/querier, traffic containment, scalability), QoS for real-time AV and enterprise traffic, and PTP timing fundamentals.
• Enterprise Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi 6/6E/7) - RF design, site surveys, and performance optimisation.
• Zero Trust security concepts - segmentation, identity-based access, and secure onboarding.
• Cloud-managed networking platforms (e.g., NETGEAR Insight or similar).
• Network design for high-density, high-bandwidth environments (AV and enterprise workloads combined).
• Scalable network architectures (e.g., campus and spine-leaf designs).
• Monitoring and troubleshooting using packet capture, RF tools, and network analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, automation, or scripting (e.g., Python) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with leading AV and enterprise ecosystems (e.g., Crestron, Q-SYS, Extron, Biamp, Riedel, EVS, or similar).
• Experience with IP-based monitoring or orchestration platforms (e.g., TAG, Nevion, Evertz, or similar).
• Strong experience supporting hospitality, large venues, smart buildings, or government projects.
• Exposure to multi-site or WAN-connected environments.
• Additional French language skill is a plus.
• Industry certifications such as AVIXA CTS/CTS-D/CTS-I, CCNA/CCNP, CWNA, or equivalent.
Additional Information
