About the Opportunity
We are seeking experienced and highly driven Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to join a fast-growing technology business operating within the EdTech and US higher-education sector.
The business provides an AI-enabled technology solution supporting the college and university market. The sales team engages senior stakeholders within US higher-education institutions, helping open conversations around technology-driven student recruitment and matching solutions.
This is a high-performance outbound sales position requiring someone who is confident conducting cold outreach, speaking with senior decision-makers and converting conversations into qualified meetings.
The environment is fast-paced, highly measurable and performance-driven. Candidates should be comfortable working towards clear activity, meeting and sales-development targets from the outset.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting into the US higher-education market.
- Cold call prospective institutional clients across the United States.
- Engage senior decision-makers, including VPs, Directors of Admissions and Directors of Enrolment.
- Introduce and communicate the value of an AI-enabled EdTech solution.
- Identify potential client needs and establish initial interest.
- Qualify prospective opportunities through effective questioning.
- Book qualified meetings for the wider sales and growth team.
- Conduct professional follow-ups through phone and email.
- Maintain accurate prospect and activity information within HubSpot.
- Work with dialler and outbound prospecting technology.
- Consistently achieve outbound activity and meeting-booking targets.
- Communicate effectively with senior US stakeholders.
- Take feedback and coaching onboard quickly to improve performance.
- Track personal performance and continuously improve conversion rates.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3+ years of SDR, BDR, cold-calling or outbound sales experience.
- Strong candidates with approximately 3–6 years of experience are highly desirable.
- Proven experience selling or cold calling into the US market.
- Demonstrable outbound sales results, such as meetings booked, targets achieved or quota attainment.
- Strong cold-calling skills and the ability to confidently open conversations with senior decision-makers.
- Previous experience using HubSpot.
- Experience with diallers, CRMs and outbound sales tools.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Clear, professional and confident telephone communication.
- Strong objection-handling and questioning skills.
- Resilient and comfortable working within a target-driven sales environment.
- Self-motivated and able to perform effectively while working remotely.
- Coachable and able to implement feedback quickly.
- Comfortable working US Eastern Time hours, Monday to Friday.
Advantageous Experience
- Previous EdTech experience.
- Experience selling technology or services into colleges, universities or educational institutions.
- Higher-education sales or student-recruitment industry exposure.
- SaaS or technology sales experience.
- Experience selling to VP, Director or C-suite level stakeholders.
- Proven success in high-volume outbound sales environments.
Ideal Candidate
You are an accomplished cold caller who can build credibility quickly over the phone. You are articulate, commercially minded and comfortable speaking with senior US decision-makers.
You understand that successful outbound sales requires more than simply making calls. You research your prospects, ask intelligent questions, communicate value clearly, handle objections confidently and consistently work towards securing the next step.
