The listing

The market is moving fast. AI is no longer a future initiative—it is becoming foundational to the modernization of the U.S. Army. From AI-enabled operations to high-performance computing and next-generation data infrastructure, Army organizations are investing in technologies that improve mission readiness and operational advantage. That creates a compelling opportunity for the right enterprise seller.

At DDN, you will be positioned at the intersection of:

  • AI infrastructure

  • High Performance Computing (HPC)

  • Army modernization

  • Cloud and data center transformation

  • Mission-critical defense technology

If you want to sell strategic infrastructure that supports some of the most demanding defense missions in the world, this is that opportunity.

What you will do

  • Own and grow a portfolio of U.S. Army enterprise accounts within your assigned territory

  • Create and convert net-new business opportunities across Army organizations and supporting defense ecosystems

  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles from prospecting through close

  • Build trusted relationships with Army leadership, program offices, technical stakeholders, acquisition organizations, and industry partners

  • Partner closely with solution architects and technical teams to develop AI, HPC, storage, and data infrastructure solutions aligned to mission requirements

  • Collaborate with channel partners, OEMs, systems integrators, and defense contractors to drive strategic opportunities

  • Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, territory planning, and account strategy across long federal sales cycles

What great looks like

You are likely a strong fit if you bring:

  • 7–10 years of enterprise technology sales experience selling infrastructure, storage, compute, networking, cloud, AI, or data center solutions

  • A successful track record selling into the U.S. Army or broader Department of Defense

  • Experience building executive relationships with government decision makers, program leadership, and technical organizations

  • Demonstrated success driving net-new business, territory expansion, and strategic account growth

  • Strong communication, executive presentation, negotiation, and forecasting discipline

  • The ability to navigate complex acquisition environments and multi-threaded enterprise sales cycles

Preferred background

  • Experience selling AI infrastructure, HPC, storage, cloud, or data center solutions

  • Experience supporting Army modernization initiatives and defense technology programs

  • Familiarity with Department of Defense acquisition processes and partner ecosystems

  • 7–10 years of enterprise sales experience

  • Based in or near one of these preferred markets: Washington, DC; Northern Virginia; Huntsville, AL; Tampa; Colorado Springs; San Antonio; Raleigh; or other major defense technology hubs

Who will love this role

  • Enterprise sellers who enjoy owning strategic Army accounts and developing long-term customer relationships

  • Hunters who excel at identifying new opportunities and navigating complex defense organizations

  • Sales professionals who can translate advanced technology into mission value

  • Individuals who thrive in high-impact, technically sophisticated enterprise sales environments

Who should probably not apply

  • Candidates whose experience is primarily SMB or mid-market sales

  • Professionals focused primarily on customer success, alliances, or sales engineering rather than quota-carrying enterprise sales

  • Sellers who prefer highly transactional, short-cycle opportunities

  • Leaders who are no longer interested in personally owning strategic enterprise opportunities
