About Mira Mace
Mira Mace pairs Medicare beneficiaries with a dedicated healthcare advocate who navigates appointments, insurance, and care coordination on their behalf. Our customers get the support of caring nurses while AI agents handle the tedious backend work, all covered by Medicare.
We've felt the pain ourselves: the endless back-and-forth with insurance, surprise bills, and the lack of clarity when you just need answers. Too many people fall through the cracks, and we're determined to change that.
Today, 24/7 personalized health assistance is only available to the rich or the extremely sick. Our vision is for everyone to be able to afford a health assistant who knows their health history deeply, navigates the healthcare system on their behalf, and helps them become the healthiest version of themselves.
Our founding team brings technical experience from Microsoft, Google, Meta and Amazon, and startup experience from bootstrapped ventures to Series D scale-ups. We're backed by Foundation Capital, Define Ventures and Silicon Valley angel investors.
The role
You will be the first clinical experience many of our patients have with Mira Mace, and you set the tone for everything that follows in their care.
30-minute new-patient telehealth visits with Medicare patients, mostly by video (phone when the patient can't connect), working from the up-to-date medical records we provide: history, medication review, assessment, care plan, orders and referrals, including durable medical equipment when indicated.
Each month, review the care plans and logged hours of your patients' care advocates, and provide the clinical oversight that keeps each patient's health and social situation moving in the right direction.
Our care team books patients onto your calendar and helps them connect before the visit.
Documentation in our EHR (Healthie) with templates built for this visit.
No call, nights or weekends. You choose a weekly block (Mon–Fri, US daytime) and keep it.
What we need
MD or DO, board-certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Geriatric Medicine.
Active, unrestricted medical license(s) in the US. The more states the better: our patients are in more than 30 states, and you see patients in every state you're licensed in.
Licensure in North Carolina, South Carolina, New York, Illinois or Ohio is strongly preferred. Licensure in Texas, Florida, California or Georgia, our largest patient populations, is also preferred. IMLC eligibility is a plus.
A clean record: no disciplinary or reprimand actions against your license, not opted out of Medicare, no exclusions. Already enrolled in Medicare (PECOS) is a plus; if not, we enroll you.
3+ years post-residency; telehealth experience preferred.
What we look for in you
Patience and empathy. Our patients are older and often vulnerable. Listening, gentleness and a calm presence are the foundation of every visit.
A reliable remote setup. Strong internet, a quiet, professional space, and a computer with a camera.
