We are currently looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Automation Specialist – Klaviyo to support a growing U.S.-based direct-to-consumer (DTC) food e-commerce company with a subscription-based business model.
This is a hands-on implementation and optimization role for someone with deep Klaviyo expertise who can independently translate CRM strategies into technically sound, scalable customer experiences across email, SMS, and lifecycle automation.

Klaviyo experience is required for this position.
Role Overview
This is not a traditional email marketing or campaign execution role.
You will be responsible for the technical implementation, QA, troubleshooting, and optimization of lifecycle experiences directly within Klaviyo. You should be comfortable independently owning flow architecture, audience qualification, segmentation, suppression logic, triggers, routing, testing, and launch validation.
The CRM team will define customer strategy, priorities, and overall program goals. Your role will focus on determining how those strategies should be technically implemented and optimized.

Contract Duration
Long-term, indefinite contract.
Working Hours
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
What You’ll Do
- Build, configure, and launch email, SMS, and lifecycle experiences in Klaviyo based on approved CRM briefs.
- Architect and maintain lifecycle flows, triggers, routing logic, and automation rules.
- Translate CRM strategies and business requirements into scalable technical implementations.
- Define and configure audience qualification criteria.
- Build and maintain customer segments, suppression rules, and exclusion logic.
- Manage customer routing across lifecycle journeys.
- Own end-to-end QA before launches.
- Validate audience qualification, flow logic, triggers, tracking, links, routing, and overall customer experience.
- Troubleshoot issues involving Klaviyo flows, automations, audiences, segmentation, and customer journeys.
- Monitor launches and validate flow behavior after deployment.
- Optimize segmentation, suppressions, routing, qualification logic, and automation performance.
- Identify implementation risks and recommend solutions before launch.
- Manage implementation work independently from planning through launch and post-launch validation.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of experience in CRM Operations, Lifecycle Marketing Operations, Marketing Automation, or a related field.
- Deep hands-on Klaviyo experience is required, including:
- Flow architecture
- Audience qualification
- Segmentation
- Trigger configuration
- Profile properties
- Suppression management
- Troubleshooting
- Experience implementing and optimizing lifecycle marketing automation programs.
- Experience supporting both email and SMS lifecycle programs.
- Experience with lifecycle testing and experimentation.
- Strong QA capabilities and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to independently manage implementation work with minimal oversight.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong written communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while balancing urgency, business impact, customer experience, and technical complexity.
What Will Make You Stand Out
- Experience with Shopify.
- Experience working with DTC e-commerce or subscription businesses.
- Experience with SMS platforms such as Attentive or Postscript.
- Experience building and optimizing welcome, lead nurture, conversion, retention, and win-back flows.
- Experience managing complex audience qualification, segmentation, routing, and suppression logic.
- Proven experience troubleshooting complex lifecycle automation and customer journey issues.
The Profile We’re Looking For
You are a hands-on Klaviyo builder and problem solver.
Given an approved CRM brief, you can independently determine the appropriate flow architecture, audience qualification, segmentation, suppression logic, triggers, routing, QA approach, and launch requirements.
You take ownership from implementation through launch and validation, proactively communicate risks, and know when to troubleshoot independently versus escalate an issue.
Most importantly, your experience goes beyond scheduling and deploying email campaigns. You understand how lifecycle automation works technically and how to continuously improve it.
