Role Overview

The Social Media Content Manager will support the planning, creation, and management of social media and written marketing content across multiple client accounts. The role combines social media strategy, content planning, copywriting, and day-to-day execution while ensuring messaging remains authentic and culturally aligned with LGBTQ audiences.

The ideal candidate has experience managing brand social media accounts, creating engaging short-form and long-form content, and adapting messaging across platforms while maintaining consistency, cultural awareness, and audience engagement.

Location

Fully Remote | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST | 30 hours a week.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy & Planning

  • Support the development of social media content strategies across multiple client brands and platforms.

  • Create and manage social media content calendars to ensure consistent publishing and campaign execution.

  • Assist with planning social media campaigns and developing content priorities.

  • Maintain consistent brand messaging, tone, and positioning across digital platforms.

Content Creation & Copywriting

  • Write engaging social media captions and copy tailored to different audiences and platforms.

  • Develop website copy, blog articles, newsletters, and other written marketing content.

  • Contribute creative ideas for social media campaigns, storytelling angles, and content themes.

  • Adapt short-form and long-form content to match brand objectives and audience expectations.

  • Collaborate with designers and content creators to ensure visual and written content are aligned.

  • Develop messaging that authentically and respectfully reflects LGBTQ culture and community experiences.

Social Media Management & Execution

  • Schedule and publish social media content across Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other relevant platforms.

  • Manage day-to-day content execution across multiple client accounts.

  • Monitor audience engagement and support community interactions when needed.

  • Maintain consistent brand tone and messaging across social channels.

  • Coordinate content publishing and campaign deliverables with internal teams.

Performance Tracking & Optimization

  • Track social media post and campaign performance.

  • Analyze engagement trends, audience behavior, and content results.

  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve content effectiveness.

  • Support ongoing content strategy optimization based on performance data and audience engagement.

Collaboration & Cultural Awareness

  • Work closely with internal digital marketing teams, designers, and content creators.

  • Collaborate on campaigns that require thoughtful, culturally aware messaging.

  • Ensure content addressing sensitive topics is respectful, authentic, and aligned with the intended audience.

  • Manage multiple projects and client priorities in a fast-paced agency environment.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience managing social media accounts for brands or agencies.

  • Experience developing and managing social media content calendars.

  • Experience writing website copy, blog articles, newsletters, and other marketing content.

  • Experience managing social media content across multiple brands or client accounts.

  • Experience working with digital marketing teams or agencies is a plus.

Skills

  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills, with experience creating both short-form and long-form marketing content.

  • Ability to develop engaging social media captions, website content, blog articles, and newsletters.

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

  • Ability to adapt content and messaging to different brands, audiences, and platforms.

  • Experience using social media scheduling and management tools.

  • Ability to analyze engagement trends and content performance to support strategy improvements.

  • Understanding of online communities and audience engagement strategies.

  • Ability to develop authentic, respectful, and culturally aware messaging for LGBTQ audiences.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing multiple client accounts and projects.

  • Ability to collaborate with designers, content creators, and internal marketing teams.
