The listing
Imagine having the power to stress-test an entire power grid against a hurricane or thunderstorm before the clouds even gather. That is the reality we are creating at Neara.
We use advanced machine learning to create engineering-grade, physics enabled digital twins of electricity grids across four continents, this helps asset owners understand their biggest challenges and bring the most viable solutions to life across millions of kilometres of infrastructure.
By simulating extreme weather and structural stress at a network-wide scale, we empower the world’s largest utilities to pinpoint risks, optimise investments and build a more resilient global energy future.
Our team is a collection of brilliant minds who are fanatical about making a tangible difference in the real world, utilising AI and machine learning to accelerate everything from data classification to complex scenario analysis. We have built a special culture where innovation thrives because everyone owns the mission and we need smart, creative people to help us scale this impact to every corner of the globe.
We're hiring a Technical Program Manager to own delivery of complex, high-value programs for our largest US utility customers. This is a customer-facing role, where you will be the trusted point of contact for customer teams and executive sponsors. While our Customer Success team members will own technical excellence and delivering the value to customers, you will be accountable for delivering every program on time, to scope and to a standard of excellence that customers will remember.
You will be the connective tissue between Customer Success, Product and Engineering, and a champion for change with both customers - adopting new technology and ways of working - and inside Neara, as our delivery model evolves. That includes a relentless pursuit of ways to deliver more and larger customer projects with the same resources, using AI and automation to make our work faster, more consistent and more scalable.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Lead end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of complex enterprise programs, from kickoff through go-live and adoption, involving large-scale data ingestion (LiDAR, GIS, asset data), model builds, integrations and value driven use cases
Be the primary point of contact for customer program teams and executive sponsors, building trusted relationships at every level
Run program governance, incl. steering committees, executive updates, status reporting & decision logs
Define scope, milestones, dependencies and success criteria, and keep programs on track by coordinating across Customer Success, Product and Engineering
Plan ahead for risks and dependencies, and guide stakeholders through key decisions with clear options and trade-offs
Champion change with customers through stakeholder alignment, training and adoption plans, so new workflows become part of how teams work
Apply and improve program management standards, templates and reporting across the US team
Identify opportunities to use AI and automation across the delivery lifecycle, such as status reporting, data validation and project setup, and help the team adopt them
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
5+ years in technical program or project management, delivering complex enterprise software, data or infrastructure programs
Significant customer-facing experience, comfortable leading the room with senior stakeholders and building lasting trust
A consistent record of delivering multi-stakeholder programs on time and to a high standard
A natural change leader who has helped customers and teams adopt new tools, processes or ways of working
Technical enough to go deep with engineers on data pipelines, integrations and cloud platforms. Python or SQL skills are highly regarded
Comfortable working at multiple altitudes: shaping program strategy with executives one day, unblocking execution on the ground the next
Confident with data, tooling and project management tools (e.g. Fibery, Jira, Asana), and a practical user of AI tools to improve how work gets done
Experience in utilities, energy, GIS or LiDAR is a plus but not essential
WHAT WE OFFER
A rare opportunity to run some of our most important US customer programs while shaping how we deliver in one of our fastest-growing markets
Work on technology that matters. Our digital twins are actively protecting energy grids from increasingly common extreme weather and structural failure
Strategic autonomy, paired with a collaborative culture where everyone, from engineering to leadership, is accessible and aligned on the same mission
Competitive compensation including ESOP, flexible working, and excellent PTO, healthcare and 401(k) programs
