Waymo's Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams are making the technology of the future a reality. We handle all production processes and supplier development strategies: from contracts and purchasing, to designs for improved manufacturing, through quality control and delivery. We collaborate actively with Waymo engineering teams as well as external suppliers and partners to make sure everything is built to spec and delivered on time to meet the rising demands of our business.
This role follows a hybrid work schedule and you will report to the Head of Global Aftermarket Distribution
You will:
- Serve as the primary commercial face of Waymo Aftermarket to all Driven-by-Waymo (DBW) fleet partners, managing high-visibility partner relationships, sales support, and commercial operations across global markets
- Establish and maintain global parts price lists by determining fully loaded costs and Fair Market Value (FMV) across OEM, SDS, VI, and high-volume aftermarket parts across multiple vehicle platforms
- Lead the end-to-end transformation from invoicing on consumption to automated invoicing on shipment, driving millions of dollars in capital efficiency & revenues for Waymo
- Architect and scale Waymo's Aftermarket warranty and insurance commercial operations, establishing robust subrogation claims processes targeting $XM in annual insurance recovery
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Accounting, Business Systems Engineering (BSE), Sourcing, Business Development, OPMs and Fleet Operations to execute 3-phase commercial rollouts and automate portal-based partner ordering and EDI invoicing
You have:
- BA/BS degree required in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of professional experience in commercial strategy, aftermarket operations, or partner account management in high-tech, autonomous vehicles, or automotive OEMs/Tier-1 suppliers
- Proven track record of building price lists, establishing Fair Market Value (FMV), and negotiating complex B2B commercial agreements or partner contracts
- Strong financial acumen with experience modeling fully loaded costs, margins, working capital optimization, and financial reporting
- Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills with demonstrated ability to align Finance, Legal, Engineering, and Business Systems teams around large-scale operational transformations
- Ability to navigate high-stakes external customer/partner communications, with executive presentation skills tailored for C-suite and leadership stakeholders
- Comfort with ambiguity in a rapidly scaling, highly autonomous technology environment, with a track record of driving projects from strategy through execution
We prefer:
- Master’s degree or MBA from a top-tier institution
- Prior experience in management consulting (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain) or executive commercial leadership at major automotive OEMs or top-tier suppliers
- Direct experience with automotive warranty claims processing, subrogation law/insurance frameworks, and international trade/customs duties
- Demonstrated leadership capability with a passion for building, mentoring, and leading high-performing commercial teams
Travel Requirements:
- As needed (~20-25%) to visit DBW fleet partners, insurance carriers, and regional commercial hubs across North America, Europe, and Asia
The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
