Role Summary
Lead – IaaS Platform is responsible for the architecture, engineering direction, and operational model of infrastructure-as-a-service capabilities. This role enables teams to consume compute, network, storage, and related services through standardized, policy-driven, self-service experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the target architecture and roadmap for IaaS services across private, public, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Establish service catalogs, reusable infrastructure patterns, tenancy models, quotas, policy controls, and lifecycle standards.
- Guide integration among compute, networking, storage, IAM, security, monitoring, configuration, and service-management capabilities.
- Promote infrastructure as code, automated provisioning, immutable patterns, and repeatable environment creation.
- Define requirements for availability, resilience, backup, disaster recovery, observability, support, and service-level performance.
- Establish guardrails for security, compliance, resource governance, tagging, consumption management, and cost allocation.
- Lead platform onboarding, migration, adoption, and continuous improvement across engineering and application teams.
- Measure provisioning time, adoption, reliability, utilization, incident trends, and cost to demonstrate platform value.
