About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and commercially focused Director, Financial Planning to lead financial planning and analysis activities across the organization. This role will be responsible for driving financial performance, leading planning and forecasting processes, developing high-performing teams, and providing actionable insights that support executive decision-making. As a trusted partner to senior leadership, you will play a critical role in shaping business strategy, identifying opportunities for growth, and ensuring the organization meets its financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of finance managers and financial planning professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Own and drive the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes across the organization.
- Partner closely with executive leadership to provide financial insights that support strategic business decisions.
- Analyze complex financial data, market trends, and business performance metrics to identify risks and opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations, financial reports, and business performance updates.
- Develop and implement financial strategies that support the organization's short-term and long-term objectives.
- Lead financial modelling activities to evaluate business scenarios, investments, and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive process improvements and finance transformation initiatives that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and business impact.
- Monitor performance across multiple business functions and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational effectiveness.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, investments, and other strategic business initiatives as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), corporate finance, or strategic finance leadership roles.
- Proven experience leading managers and developing high-performing finance teams.
- Demonstrated success partnering with executive leadership and influencing strategic business decisions.
- Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance management.
- Advanced financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
- Experience operating within a complex, multinational organization is preferred.
- Professional finance qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or equivalent) is advantageous.
