Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced AI Strategy and Leadership Lead Facilitator to support senior professionals participating in an applied AI strategy and leadership learning experience.

This is a remote, fixed-term, part-time opportunity suited to someone with significant senior leadership experience and direct accountability for AI strategy, investment, transformation, or implementation decisions. The role combines live online facilitation, executive-level discussion, learner mentoring, assignment feedback, and online community engagement.

The expected commitment is approximately 4 to 6 hours per week on average, although additional hours may be required during assignment grading periods.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated senior leadership experience with direct accountability for AI strategy, investment, implementation, digital transformation, data strategy, or related organisational decision-making.
  • Experience operating at executive, general management, functional leadership, senior advisory, or equivalent level.
  • Working knowledge of the Australian regulatory and governance environment relevant to artificial intelligence.
  • Understanding of developments including Australian privacy reform, the Voluntary AI Safety Standard, and expectations associated with relevant Australian regulatory bodies.
  • Practical fluency with current generative AI tools and the ability to assess and direct their use without dependence on a single technology vendor.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage confidently with senior, experienced, and time-constrained participants while constructively challenging ideas and assumptions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, with the ability to support a diverse group of senior professionals.
  • Previous experience in facilitation, executive education, teaching, coaching, mentoring, or professional development.
  • Excellent organisational, time-management, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • A flexible and practical problem-solving approach, with the ability to adapt facilitation to participant needs and evolving discussions.

    Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate engaging live online group sessions that connect AI strategy and leadership concepts with practical executive and organisational experience.
  • Lead regular online drop-in sessions focused on real-world AI applications, strategic decision-making, governance considerations, and learner assignments.
  • Mark approximately 20 to 50 assignments per course and provide clear, constructive, and actionable feedback that supports participant development.
  • Facilitate meaningful discussions within an online learning community by sharing resources, practical examples, insights, and responses to participant questions.
  • Provide ad hoc one-to-one mentoring sessions to participants requiring additional support with course concepts, assignments, or strategic application.
  • Participate in selected industry panel discussions and contribute relevant senior-level perspectives on AI strategy, leadership, governance, investment, and implementation.
  • Set clear expectations regarding workload, assignment timelines, learning activities, and available resources.
  • Monitor participant engagement and identify areas where additional support or intervention may be appropriate.
  • Collaborate with relevant delivery and participant-support colleagues to communicate progress, challenges, and emerging learner needs.
  • Support a senior participant cohort by facilitating constructive discussion, challenging assumptions appropriately, and encouraging evidence-based strategic thinking.
