About the Role
We are looking for experienced Game Developers to help train and evaluate next-generation AI systems through realistic game development challenges. You will create small-scale game projects, introduce gameplay bugs, design complex feature tasks, and develop verified reference solutions. Your work will help assess how effectively AI models understand game mechanics, debug gameplay systems, and implement functional features. Candidates from AAA studios, indie teams, and solo development backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
Build small-scale game projects or interactive scenes using established game engines.
Introduce realistic gameplay bugs that require investigation, playtesting, and on-screen analysis.
Design challenging feature-development tasks involving multiple gameplay systems and mechanics.
Write clear, concise task briefs modeled on real-world instructions from players, designers, or producers.
Develop reference solutions for each task, including bug fixes and feature implementations.
Define measurable acceptance criteria, including required input sequences, expected visual outcomes, and verifiable in-game states.
Conduct end-to-end playtesting to verify that tasks are reproducible, reliable, and solvable.
Ensure tasks accurately reflect real game development workflows and provide meaningful challenges for AI systems.
Requirements
- Demonstrated hands-on game development experience through professional employment, indie projects, solo development, or serious hobby projects.
Strong proficiency in at least one major game engine, such as Unity, Godot, or Unreal Engine.
Experience with relevant scripting and programming technologies, including C#, GDScript, C++, or Blueprints.
Ability to navigate game editors, manage scenes, debug gameplay logic, and troubleshoot engine-related issues.
Proven ability to identify and resolve gameplay bugs through iterative testing.
Ability to design interactive features and understand how multiple game systems work together.
Strong written communication skills for documenting task requirements and acceptance criteria.
A portfolio or verifiable examples of game development work, such as published games, GitHub repositories, itch.io projects, game jam entries, or shipped titles.
