Senior Marketing Manager

Location: Remote, Canada

Niricson is transforming how critical infrastructure is inspected, understood, and managed. We combine robotics, advanced sensing, artificial intelligence, and our condition intelligence platform, AUTOSPEX, to help infrastructure owners better understand the condition of assets such as dams, bridges, and airfields. We are a global, remote-first team united by a simple mission: Making Infrastructure Safer.

The Senior Marketing Manager will build and lead the marketing engine at Niricson, and will be accountable for how the company is positioned and shows up in the market as it enters its next stage of growth.

This is not a role to simply manage social media, update our website, or coordinate marketing requests. There is an incredible amount happening across the company: new technology, global infrastructure deployments, product development, customer success stories, industry conferences, partnerships, research, and international expansion. This role will understand what is happening across Niricson, identify the stories and opportunities that matter, and turn them into a consistent market presence.

The Senior Marketing Manager will be a hands-on player-coach: setting strategy and doing some of the work directly, leading our Event & Content Manager, and, over time, deciding which roles we hire next and building the team to deliver.

THE MANDATE

Make our Sales team better at selling, our Product team better at communicating what we build, and the infrastructure industry more aware of what Niricson is accomplishing.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Marketing Manager is accountable for results in the areas below. Some of the work will be done directly, some led through the Event & Content Manager, and some through external partners.

Marketing Strategy and Brand

  • Develop and execute Niricson's global marketing strategy.
  • Strengthen our positioning and maintain a high bar for how the company shows up.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across the website, decks, conferences, videos, case studies, and external communications.

Product Marketing

  • Work closely with Product to translate sophisticated technology into clear customer value.
  • Own product positioning, launch messaging, solution briefs, demonstrations, and competitive positioning.
  • Lead the communication of new AUTOSPEX capabilities.

Sales Enablement

  • Give our Sales team the materials they need to win.
  • Own customer presentations, pitch decks, brochures, one-pagers, videos, vertical-specific collateral, and strategic account materials.
  • Involve Sales in shaping these materials, so that Sales does not have to create them.

Customer Storytelling

  • Lead our customer storytelling program, setting priorities and quality standards.
  • Work with our content team and external creators to produce case studies, customer endorsements, videos, interviews, technical articles, and other content that demonstrates real-world impact.
  • Recognize a great story while the work is happening, not months later.

Thought Leadership and PR

  • Build a consistent content engine around infrastructure, AI, robotics, condition assessment, and asset management.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for press coverage, contributed articles, executive interviews, awards, partnerships, and industry exposure.

Conferences and Field Marketing

  • Partner with the Event & Content Manager, who leads event planning and execution.
  • Build our conference strategy with Sales and determine where Niricson should attend, exhibit, speak, sponsor, publish, or involve customers.
  • Help decide where a booth creates value, and where it does not, and ensure every priority event has a clear commercial objective.

Digital Presence

  • Own the evolution of Niricson.com, LinkedIn, newsletters, SEO, video, and other digital channels.
  • Ensure these channels consistently communicate who we are, what we are building, and why it matters.

Flagship Deployment Marketing

  • Plan ahead for important deployments and customer successes.
  • Capture the visuals, customer perspectives, technical impact, and story while the work is happening, then turn that material into high-quality sales and marketing assets.

Customer and Partner Marketing

  • Support customer expansion through product updates, customer communications, executive roundtables, joint case studies, and user events.
  • Create content that helps existing customers understand the broader Niricson and AUTOSPEX vision.

Marketing Operations

  • Build repeatable processes, calendars, metrics, templates, and standards that allow marketing to scale.
  • Manage external designers, videographers, agencies, PR resources, and specialists when needed.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop the Event & Content Manager.
  • Identify capability gaps and recommend the next hires or contractors to fill them.
  • Build a marketing team that can deliver routine work without depending on one person.

Decision Authority

The Senior Marketing Manager has authority to:

  • Set marketing priorities, the marketing calendar, and brand and messaging standards.
  • Approve external-facing marketing materials, including website content, collateral, and campaign messaging.
  • Select, engage, and manage external agencies, designers, videographers, and other specialists within the approved budget.
  • Recommend which conferences and events Niricson should invest in, in partnership with Sales.
  • Recommend new marketing roles and lead hiring for the marketing team.
  • Escalate pricing, commercial commitments, customer confidentiality, legal approvals, and spend outside the approved budget to the CEO.

How This Role Fits Within the Organization

This role is accountable for the marketing function. It sets the strategy, priorities, and standards for how Niricson shows up in the market. Event and content execution remain with the roles designed to own them.

  • Event & Content Manager – plans and executes Niricson’s events and conferences, and produces content within the strategy and priorities set by the Senior Marketing Manager.
  • Sales – helps shape sales materials and conference strategy, shares customer insight and opportunities, and uses marketing assets to win and expand accounts.
  • Product – owns product direction and releases, working with Marketing on positioning, launch messaging, and AUTOSPEX communication.
  • Delivery and Customer Success – involve Marketing early in flagship deployments and customer successes so stories and assets can be captured while the work is happening.
  • CEO and Leadership – set company direction and act as key voices in thought leadership, PR, and executive content.

Who We Are Looking For

You are likely someone with 7+ years of B2B marketing experience, ideally in a complex technical market such as industrial technology, infrastructure technology, engineering software, construction technology, robotics, geospatial technology, enterprise SaaS, utilities, or asset management.

You do not need to be an engineer, but you need to be curious enough to understand sophisticated technology and confident enough to turn technical conversations into compelling commercial stories.

EXPERIENCE

·      Built or significantly scaled a B2B marketing function.

·      Experience with complex enterprise sales cycles.

·      Strong product-marketing instincts and customer-facing storytelling.

·      Comfortable working with technical teams, executives, customers, and external agencies.

·      Experience producing high-quality sales collateral, digital content, and thought leadership.

·      Experience leading and developing marketers, and comfort as a hands-on player-coach while the team grows.

WORKING STYLE

·      Can develop strategy and execute it.

·      Highly proactive: you see opportunities before someone assigns them.

·      Exceptional storyteller and communicator.

·      High quality bar for presentations, websites, video, writing, and brand.

·      Comfortable with ambiguity and a fast-moving growth environment.

·      Takes ownership and measures success by business impact, not content volume.

The Trait We Care About Most

You should be able to discover the stories inside Niricson without the CEO or Sales team having to tell you every story that exists.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first year, we want to see a recognizable difference in how Niricson shows up in the market. Success is not simply more posts or more activity. It is a stronger commercial and market presence.
