Job Description SummaryThe Clinical Solutions Leader, ASC is a selling leader role that leads a team of Clinical Solutions Specialists serving Electrophysiology (EP)-focused Ambulatory Surgery Centers across the US, while also carrying a defined ASC territory and revenue target as a Clinical Solutions Specialist. The role combines two responsibilities: (1) directly owning clinical sales growth and post-install adoption within an assigned book of established and de novo EP ASC accounts, and (2) building, coaching, and holding accountable a team of Specialists who do the same across their own territories.

The Clinical Solutions Leader is expected to lead from the front. Their own results, clinical credibility, and account practices set the standard for the team and give them first-hand insight into what the Specialists face in the field. They are measured on personal order growth and account penetration in their own territory, and on team-level order growth, territory coverage, and Specialist development. The Leader works in direct partnership with the ASC Development Leader, the GE HealthCare ASC team, and the expanded Segment teams.
Jobs at this level operate with significant autonomy within well-defined commercial policies and are reviewed on end results, both individual and team.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Leading: People Leadership & Team Performance

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Clinical Solutions Specialists, setting clear expectations for order growth, account penetration, and clinical credibility, and holding the team accountable for results.
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard Specialists; manage performance through goal setting, feedback, development planning, and recognition, in partnership with HR.
  • Coach through one-on-ones, ride-alongs, account reviews, and deal coaching, including shifting clinical conversations toward commercial outcomes and prioritizing accounts by expansion potential.
  • Own team-level order growth and forecasting; partner with the ASC Development Leader on territory design, pipeline reviews, and account planning across established and de novo centers.
  • Serve as the link between the Specialist team and the GE HealthCare ASC team, Account Teams, and Segment clinical applications teams, and bring field feedback on adoption trends and competitive dynamics to sales leadership and product teams.
  • Foster a high-performing, inclusive team culture and model compliance and quality standards in all customer interactions.

Selling: Account Growth in an Assigned Territory

  • Own growth targets across an assigned book of EP ASC accounts, including existing centers and de novo ASCs in planning or development.
  • Lead the clinical elements of the sales process, including early de novo engagement, needs assessment, demonstrations, workflow evaluation, and objection handling, and build the clinical value case for physicians, administrators, and clinical staff.
  • Drive post-install adoption and utilization with the segment clinical applications teams, tracking utilization and outcomes to support future account planning.
  • Maintain credibility as a hands-on clinical peer with Cath/EP lab nurses, techs, and physicians, and develop opinion-leader and reference relationships.

Required Qualifications

  • Active or former hands-on clinical experience in a Cath Lab or EP Lab setting (RN, RCIS, RCES, or Lead Technologist background required).
  • Demonstrated success in a sales-accountable role, including comfort being measured on order growth and expansion targets, not just clinical support metrics.
  • Prior experience leading, mentoring, or coaching others (formally as a people manager, or informally as a team lead, preceptor, or trainer) with demonstrated interest in and readiness for a people-leadership role.
  • For roles in the USA: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of relevant clinical and/or clinical sales experience).
  • Willingness to travel within an assigned ASC territory and to team members' territories as required to support active expansion opportunities, post-install adoption, and team coaching.
  • Ability to travel 60% of the time.

Desired Characteristics

  • Prior experience in a clinical sales, clinical liaison, or field clinical specialist role within medtech, with direct or indirect accountability for revenue or expansion outcomes.
  • Prior experience managing or leading a field-based or remote team, ideally in medtech or healthcare sales.
  • Familiarity with ASC business models and the economics of procedural volume and modality mix.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to move a clinical conversation toward a commercial outcome and to coach others to do the same.
  • Established ability to prioritize a territory and account list based on expansion potential rather than treating all accounts equally, and to help others do so.
  • Proven ability to balance individual quota responsibilities with team leadership obligations, including time management and delegation.
  • Strong influencing and collaboration skills across sales, clinical, marketing, and product teams.
