Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and driven Account Manager to join our Account Services team. This mid-level leadership role is ideal for someone with notable past experience in cross-functional team and project management, client communication strategy, and a strong foundation in events and tactics. The Account Manager will own and manage cross-functional players within the organization while representing the interests and needs of their clients, playing a pivotal role in the successful execution of experiential marketing campaigns from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Relations: Lead daily client interactions and serve as the main point of contact for client inquiries, requests, and feedback. Build strong, lasting relationships and become a trusted advisor rather than a vendor. Lead client meetings, create agendas, and deliver clean client-facing notes. Maintain a solution-oriented approach to client conflicts, and identify opportunities to upsell offerings and grow accounts, sharing them with the sales team and agency leadership.
2. Campaign Planning & Strategy: Oversee all aspects of campaign planning, from concept to execution. Lead the development and refinement of campaign strategies and detailed presentations, including copywriting. Contribute creative ideas and solutions in brainstorming sessions, and create and deliver client presentations showcasing strategies, results, and recommendations for future initiatives.
3. Cross-Functional Leadership: Provide day-to-day leadership and clear communication to cross-functional teams, including creative, production, and logistics. Delegate tasks, manage team performance, and ensure milestones and timelines are met. Schedule internal meetings and send clear recaps, delegating research and support tasks to junior team members when applicable. May oversee direct reports depending on project scope.
4. Project Management & Reporting: Prepare and maintain project status reports, proposals, and client deliverables. Manage project documentation, work-back timelines, and Asana. Work with production to manage project budgets and timelines for efficient resource allocation, and regularly report on project status and financials to clients and agency leadership.
5. Live Events & Onsite: Lead the logistical planning of events, site visits, and onsite support during activations. Serve as the onsite lead for client management and logistics, anticipating client needs and managing expectations so the team can execute without interference. Support senior account leads onsite on large-tier, complex projects.
6. Performance Analysis & Internal Marketing: Analyze campaign performance data and provide insights for future improvements. Lead the creation of post-event marketing tools such as metrics reports and case studies.
