Our platform and PLM applications connect users in all disciplines to critical product data and processes across the lifecycle and throughout the extended supply chain. The world’s largest manufacturers are leveraging Aras Innovator to manage their complex product lifecycles to improve production timelines, meet and exceed revenue growth targets, and accelerate innovation. About the Role
We are seeking a mid-level Instructional Designer to join our growing L&D team focused on enabling success for enterprise software users. In this role, you’ll design scalable, engaging, and AI-integrated learning experiences that accelerate product adoption and support change management across both technical and non-technical audiences.
You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Enablement teams to create impactful learning paths that empower users to confidently adopt complex software solutions. While experience with PLM, ERP, and other manufacturing systems is a strong plus, your ability to simplify technical content and apply instructional frameworks will be key.
Key Responsibilities
Learning Design & Development
- Create scalable, adaptive training using SAM or agile frameworks.
- Apply Bloom’s Taxonomy to write learning objectives, assessments, and curriculum. Working with Gagne’s taxonomy is a plus but not required.
- Design modular learning for varied personas and experience levels.
- Build enablement programs for PLM, ERP, and manufacturing software.
- Integrate AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) for personalized, in-product learning.
- Develop AI-powered microlearning, tutorials, and prompt libraries.
- Build student-ready course architecture in our learning management system (LMS)
Enterprise Enablement
- Translate complex technical concepts into engaging content for diverse roles (engineers, QA, execs, etc.).
- Develop onboarding and upskilling programs that support enterprise-wide software adoption.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Align training with product evolution through partnerships with Product, Engineering, and Enablement teams.
- Conduct needs analyses and stakeholder interviews to inform strategy.
- Lead change management and training for organizational transformation.
- Use communication strategies to boost engagement and reduce adoption friction.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in instructional design, L&D, or enterprise enablement.
- Proven ability to develop digital learning for enterprise software audiences.
- Experience designing or integrating AI tools into the learning design experience (e.g., Claude Code agents, ChatGPT and Codex, prompt libraries).
- Strong understanding of instructional design methodologies (Agile, SAM) and adult learning principles.
- Proficiency with tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, Synthesia or similar.
- Familiarity with LMS platforms, xAPI, SCORM, and learning analytics. Experience in Thought Industries LMS is a plus.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
- Background in software implementation, change management, or enterprise digital transformation.
- Experience building certification programs, onboarding pathways, learning paths or product training for SaaS solutions.
