Polygon is a leading gaming and entertainment brand delivering breaking news, trending stories, analysis, and viral moments across the biggest games, franchises, and creators in the world.
As a worldwide leader, Polygon operates at a rapid pace and is always looking for experienced and passionate contributors who can create original high-quality content in a timely manner.
Your Responsibilities
- Schedule and manage daily content (links, images, videos) across multiple social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, TikTok) - including breaking news, evergreen discussion posts, reels, and more.
- Create engaging social graphics (Photoshop, Canva or similar)
- Write engaging captions and copy to drive user interaction, leveraging Polygon's voice and style.
- Edit short-form video content for social distribution
- Monitor performance data and adjust strategy accordingly
- Identify trending topics and reactive content opportunities
- Collaborate with editorial to maximise story performance
- Learn and utilize the TrueAnthem scheduling tool and Media Library system, efficiently tagging, sorting, and organizing content.
- Provide flexible availability, adjusting work hours as needed for special events such as Gamescom, award shows, or major entertainment news cycles.

Experience and Skills
- Proven experience managing social media accounts at scale, specifically Facebook and Instagram
- Strong understanding of platform algorithms and audience behaviour
- Ability to create compelling static social imagery
- Basic short-form video editing skills
- Experience using social scheduling and analytics tools
- Strong interest in gaming and gaming media
- Experience in digital publishing or media
- Familiarity with monetisation strategies across social platforms
