This is a collaborative position within an Agile team, ideal for someone passionate about solving production challenges with elegant technical solutions. Previous experience working in a VFX studio is essential.

  • Research and recommend new technologies, workflows, and automation strategies to optimize production.
  • Create clear, user-friendly documentation for tools and pipeline systems.
  • Contribute to Agile sprints and communicate progress regularly with the team.

WHAT YOU BRING:
The ideal candidate will be a well-seasoned professional in a VFX or animation studio environment, with strong experience with Python in production environments. They must bring prior working experience designing and maintaining pipeline infrastructure, including package management systems and CI/CD workflows for tool deployment and integration. They also must have prior working experience developing tools for DCC applications such as Nuke, Silhouette, Maya, 3D Equalizer, etc., and be proficient with Qt/PySide for building user interfaces. Additional desired skills include:
  • Comfortable working on both Windows and Linux platforms.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with JavaScript, C++, or web-based tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based production environments or render pipelines is a plus.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development teams is a plus.
