The listing

Zipliens is a leading lien resolution company that specializes in streamlining the lien process for personal injury law firms. We are looking for proactive, results-driven individuals to join our dynamic team.

Zipliens is improving how we handle Single Event lien resolution, building new workflows, tools, and reporting so we can keep delivering great outcomes for our customers as we grow. This role is part of a small, focused team that works directly with a select group of customers, and what we learn will help shape how we handle Single Event work across the company.

As a Lien Resolution Coordinator, you’ll work alongside Lien Resolution Strategists to keep files moving from intake through resolution. You’ll handle lien requests and follow-ups across agency and payer portals, review documentation and spot issues early, support customer communication, and take on file steps delegated by the Strategists. You’ll also help build the team’s workflows, including for your own role, and test new tools as they’re introduced.

This role is a good fit for someone with lien resolution or related experience who is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and curious about how work can be done better. It offers hands-on exposure to the full lien resolution process, working closely with experienced Strategists.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

File Support

  • Request liens and handle follow-ups with agencies, lienholders, and payers, including portal-based work for Medicaid, Medicare, and other agencies.
  • Prepare and track document requests, including records, itemized bills, and payment ledgers.
  • Verify provider, payer, and agency contact details, and keep them current in the portal.
  • Review claims, billing, medical records, and legal documents to flag missing, duplicate, or inconsistent information, and raise issues with Strategists early.

Strategist & Customer Support

  • Take on file steps delegated by Strategists, and keep files moving between handoffs.
  • Support Strategists on assigned files, including joining customer calls, taking notes, and other support needs as assigned.
  • Prepare draft correspondence, reduction requests, and dispute documents for Strategist review.
  • Track settlement activity, deadlines, and follow-ups.

Workflows & Collaboration

  • Help build and refine the team’s workflows, including the steps and standards for the Lien Resolution Coordinator role.
  • Work with Agency Management, applying agreed standards and procedures in daily contact with agencies and lienholders.
  • Support collaboration with medical review and audit as part of file handling.
  • Test new tools and R&D initiatives as they’re introduced, and share feedback on what works in practice.
  • Look critically at the work: notice when something looks off, spot repetitive or manual steps, and suggest improvements.

Standards

  • Keep file activity accurately documented in the portal, following internal processes and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in lien resolution, personal injury, insurance, medical billing, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the judgment to spot inconsistencies and raise issues early.
  • A customer-first mindset and confidence communicating with customers, providers, agencies, and payers by phone, email, and on calls.
  • Clear, professional written communication, including drafting correspondence.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple files and priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • A bias toward continuous improvement. Comfortable on a small, collaborative team where processes are still being defined, and willing to dig in, try fixes, and see them through.
  • Comfortable learning new tools and giving feedback as they’re built.
  • Familiarity with case management software, Microsoft Office, or Google Workspace.
  • Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, or other agency and payer portals is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Benefits

  • Private Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • Company HSA contributions for HDHP participants
  • Flexible Spending Accounts (Health & Dependent Care)
  • Company-Paid Short-Term Disability Coverage
  • Voluntary Long-Term Disability, Life, AD&D, and Supplemental Coverage Options
  • 401(k) Plan with Company Match
  • Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick Time & 10 paid Holidays)
  • Parental Leave
