About Sanctuary

Sanctuary builds nature - led, wellness - centered communities that feel alive. Our first 135-acre residential community in the Texas Hill Country is designed with:

🌱 Non-toxic materials

💧 Clean water and filtration systems

⚡ EMF-conscious design

🌿 135 acres of preserved land and eco - sensitive planning

We are a global team (spread across 8 countries) of designers, architects, engineers, and dreamers building spaces that restore and inspire. For us, it’s not just where people live - it’s how they live.

Our vision is to bring Sanctuary to major cities around the world: healthy, sovereign communities that sit on the edges of every modern metropolis.

About the role

We are hiring a Sourcing, Procurement & Supply Chain Manager to find, buy, and move the building materials that go into our homes. You will source construction materials from manufacturers and suppliers overseas, manage purchasing, and make sure everything reaches our project sites in Texas on time, on budget, and to spec.

This role sits at the center of how we build. Many of our materials are chosen for health and sustainability - non-toxic finishes, clean water systems, low-EMF components - so you will be checking more than price and lead time. You will work closely with our architects, construction team, and finance team to turn material specifications into confirmed orders and delivered shipments.

This is not a role for someone who needs a fixed process handed to them. We are a fast-moving startup, and you will often be the one building the vendor list, the tracker, and the shipping plan from scratch. We are looking for someone highly resourceful who can chase down missing information, negotiate with confidence, and flag risks early before they turn into site delays.

What you’ll do

Sourcing and vendor management

  • Identify, evaluate, and shortlist manufacturers and suppliers for construction and building materials, primarily overseas

  • Request and compare quotations, samples, and technical data sheets against our design and material specifications

  • Build and maintain an approved vendor list with pricing, lead times, certifications, and performance notes

  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery commitments with suppliers

Procurement and purchasing

  • Translate material schedules and specifications from the architecture and construction teams into purchase orders

  • Track every order from quotation to delivery, and keep the team updated on status and risks

  • Work with the finance team on budgets, payments, and cost tracking for each project

Logistics and supply chain

  • Coordinate international shipping from suppliers to our project sites in Texas, working with freight forwarders and customs brokers

  • Manage export and import documentation, shipping schedules, and delivery timelines

  • Plan orders around construction schedules so materials arrive when the site needs them

Quality and compliance

  • Verify that materials meet our health, sustainability, and quality standards before they ship

  • Arrange pre-shipment inspections and resolve quality issues with suppliers

  • Make sure materials meet U.S. building code and certification requirements where applicable

Process building

  • Set up simple, reliable trackers and workflows for sourcing, orders, and shipments

  • Find opportunities to reduce costs and lead times as we scale to more projects

What you bring

  • 3-6 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain, ideally for construction or building materials

  • Hands-on experience with international or export sourcing, including working with overseas suppliers

  • Working knowledge of export and import documentation, freight forwarding, and customs processes

  • Strong negotiation skills and comfort managing multiple vendors at once

  • Ability to read material specifications and technical data sheets, and ask the right questions about them

  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills for tracking orders, costs, and timelines

  • Experience sourcing for U.S. projects, or knowledge of U.S. building codes and certifications, is a strong plus

  • Comfortable working with high autonomy in a fast-moving, remote, cross-cultural team

  • Clear, proactive communicator in English, both written and spoken since you’ll do outreach and coordination with international consultants/vendors

Hiring process

  1. Stage 1: Intro interview - Role alignment, experience overview, and culture fit

  2. Stage 2: Test task - A short practical assignment to assess your sourcing and supply chain approach

  3. Stage 3: Final interview - Deep dive into workflows, expectations, and growth
