About Polygon Labs
Polygon Labs is a global blockchain payments company building and operating infrastructure to move money instantly, reliably, and at internet scale, with the mission to move all money onchain. It is building the Polygon Open Money Stack, an open and integrated stack of services and technologies to instantly and reliably move money anywhere, and put it to work. Its infrastructure has facilitated trillions of dollars in onchain value transfer and supported millions of transactions daily for some of the globe's largest banks, fintechs, enterprises, and consumer applications.
About the Role
As fintechs and financial institutions integrate the Polygon Open Money Stack, the quality of the integration experience increasingly shapes how quickly partners reach production. Polygon operates as a US-regulated payments platform, licensed in 48 states through 37 money transmitter licenses and 11 exemptions, and our partner base is growing.
Today, many partner integration questions are routed to Engineering. This slows product development and leads to the same questions being answered repeatedly. The Technical Solutions Engineer will own the technical experience of building on Polygon: API and integration documentation, the integration path, technical support during the sales process, and bringing signed partners to production.
Our standard is a best-in-class developer experience in payments, where a capable developer, including one working with AI coding tools, can integrate with minimal direct support.
This is a senior individual contributor role reporting to the VP, Account Management & Support.
Responsibilities
API and integration documentation: Own the accuracy, completeness, and clarity of Polygon’s API and integration documentation, and keep it current as the platform evolves.
Self-serve integration: Build quickstarts, sample code, and reference architectures that enable developers, including those using AI coding tools, to integrate independently.
Technical expertise: Serve as the primary technical resource in sales conversations alongside Business Development and throughout partner integrations, then document solutions so they’re reusable.
Partner go-live: Lead signed partners through requirements intake, provisioning following KYB and KYC approval, sandbox testing, webhook configuration, and go-live validation, in partnership with Integration Delivery.
Platform knowledge: Develop deep expertise across ramps and bank rails, wallets and accounts, custodial and non-custodial flows, virtual accounts, deposit addresses, cross-chain movement, and webhooks.
Demos and enablement: Build sample applications and demo environments that support Business Development and Sales.
Product feedback: Identify gaps in the API and integration experience, and turn them into clear, prioritized recommendations for Product and Engineering.
Automation: Use AI and internal tooling to streamline onboarding, provisioning, and frontline support.
Requirements
Hands-on experience with US payments, including ACH, RTP, wire transfers, card networks, or equivalent rails, and a working understanding of settlement and reconciliation.
Experience in one of the following:
Leading customer API integrations from kickoff to production at a payments, fintech, or financial infrastructure company
Owning API documentation, SDKs, or developer support at an API-first payments company
Strong API and troubleshooting skills, including reading logs, debugging webhooks, and reasoning through authentication and retry behavior, with tools such as Postman, Bruno, or Datadog
Excellent technical writing, with the ability to document complex systems clearly for external developers
Regular use of AI tools to build, document, and automate work
Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment where the platform and documentation are actively evolving
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with stablecoins or digital assets, particularly wallets and onchain settlement
Experience at an early-stage company, building processes or programs from the ground up
Enough coding ability to build demo applications
Experience with documentation platforms such as Mintlify
Familiarity with KYB and KYC tooling
Why Join
Cross-border payments remain slow, expensive, and opaque. Polygon is bringing regulated fiat access, wallets, and onchain settlement together into one integrated stack, and partners are building on it today. In this role, you’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, and Business Development leadership and set the standard for how partners integrate with Polygon.
