Build in data quality checks, validation, and error handling.
Troubleshoot and resolve ETL job failures and data discrepancies.
Document data flows, mappings, transformations, and technical designs.
Work with analysts and business users to clarify requirements, and take part in code reviews.

Proven experience optimizing SQL queries and tuning database performance, including reading and interpreting execution plans.
3+ years of experience developing ETL processes for a data warehouse.
Experience with at least one cloud-hosted data warehouse, preferably Snowflake or Databricks.
Experience with at least one ETL tool or framework such as Databricks, Informatica, Talend, AWS Glue, or similar.

Clear written and verbal communication in English.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Nice to Have
Power BI (DAX, Power Query/M, data modeling) or Tableau (calculated fields, LOD expressions, Server/Cloud publishing).
Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, or Databricks.
Python for automation and data processing; Spark/PySpark.
Dimensional modeling (star and snowflake schemas) and data warehousing concepts (Kimball/Inmon).
Git/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines for database and ETL deployments, and job scheduling/orchestration.
