Job Description Summary
The Data Product Manager is a senior, self-directed product leader accountable for the strategy, roadmap, lifecycle, adoption, and measurable outcomes of one or more significant enterprise data and analytics product domains. Working with minimal oversight, this role determines the product management approach, makes consequential prioritization and lifecycle decisions within delegated authority, and leads complex, multi-quarter initiatives spanning clinical, operational, financial, population health, regulatory, and consumer functions. The role addresses ambiguous and systemic business and data challenges for which established solutions may not exist. It partners with senior business, clinical, technology, analytics, and governance leaders to frame problems, evaluate trade-offs, align investments, and translate organizational strategy into scalable data products and capabilities.
Operating within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), the Data Product Manager provides strategic direction to Product Owners and cross-functional delivery teams, establishes outcome measures and decision frameworks, and remains accountable for value realization rather than delivery alone. The role also strengthens data product management capability by mentoring colleagues, leading cross-functional working groups, and developing reusable practices and standards.

- Embed data governance and responsible use: Integrate data quality, privacy, security, regulatory compliance, interoperability, and applicable AI/ML controls into product strategy, delivery, and lifecycle management.
- Drive adoption and measurable value: Establish KPIs and outcome measures, lead cross-functional adoption and change strategies, monitor product performance and benefits, and recommend improvements, scaling, consolidation, or retirement.
