The listing
Do you like turning a first conversation into a lasting partnership? Do you want your work to help small businesses get paid and grow? This role could be a good fit.
SwipeSimple helps small businesses get paid. Since 2013 we have built payment software and tools that merchants use to run their day: taking cards in person, sending invoices, collecting online, and keeping the books straight. More than 125,000 merchants use SwipeSimple. Banks, payment processors, and resellers offer SwipeSimple to their business customers. Businesses can also sign up with us directly through SwipeSimple Connect.
We serve small businesses and give priority to service businesses: HVAC, plumbing, chiropractic, physical therapy, salons and barbershops, mental health and family counseling, and more.
Serving these businesses well starts with understanding them. An HVAC owner and a salon owner get paid in different ways and go to different places for information. Very few of them read marketing publications. They ask other owners. They follow the trade accounts and podcasts their industry already listens to, and many go to trade shows. They trust a recommendation from someone who has done the job over anything a vendor tells them.
Resellers already serve these owners and have earned their trust. That is where this role comes in. You recruit new independent resellers of SwipeSimple, and each one brings SwipeSimple to more businesses.
You recruit independent resellers of SwipeSimple offerings. Resellers offer SwipeSimple to their own business customers, so each new reseller opens a new path to merchants. Your primary focus is to find, recruit, and sign new resellers that serve our priority industries.
You build your pipeline through direct outreach to prospective resellers and follow up until each one signs or is ready for the inside sales team. You also attend select industry events to meet prospective resellers in person. Travel is about 10 to 20% of your time.
