We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in traditional networking as well as cloud networking, with a strong focus on Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will play a critical role in optimizing and securing our hybrid cloud infrastructure while ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise-level network solutions across on-prem and cloud environments.
- Architect and maintain secure and scalable network infrastructure on AWS (e.g., VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, Route 53, NACLs, Security Groups).
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues and outages.
- Automate network tasks using scripting and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform).
- Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Cloud Engineering teams to ensure best practices and compliance.
- Lead network-related projects and mentor junior engineers.
- Document network configurations, processes, and updates in detail.
- Manage network-related tools (firewalls, load balancers, monitoring systems, etc.).
- Stay current on new technologies and recommend improvements to support business goals.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering roles.
- Strong understanding of core networking concepts: routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, etc.
- Deep knowledge of AWS networking services: VPC, Subnets, NAT Gateway, Route Tables, Security Groups, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, etc.
- Experience with cloud-native security and connectivity patterns.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, SolarWinds, Nagios).
- Experience with automation and scripting (Python, Bash, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of load balancing technologies (e.g., ELB/ALB/NLB).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud networking environments.
- AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty or other relevant AWS certifications.
- Familiarity with containerized environments (e.g., Kubernetes, ECS) and their networking components.
- Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies and principles.
- Experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, etc.) is a plus.
