As a member of our Cloud Engineering team, you will be working with fast paced innovative companies, leveraging Cloud as the key driver of their transformation. They will look at you as their trusted advisor, someone they can rely on and who will be there to help them along their journey on Google Cloud. You will be expected to lead and support cross-cloud migration work, with a strong focus on core cloud infrastructure, managed services, networking, Kubernetes, databases, and CI/CD tooling across enterprise environments.
Our primary expertise is in Google Cloud technologies, utilizing a toolbox that often incorporates Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Kubernetes, Networking along with customer tooling such as GitHub. We approach client requirements objectively, applying first-principles reasoning to select the most appropriate tools and processes. NOTE: This opportunity is available on either a full-time (FTE) or contractor basis.
Who we need...
- Essential Technical Skills and Experience
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Expertise: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working with GCP, including core services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Run, and Cloud Storage.
- Networking: Strong understanding of VPC Networking, DNS, and enterprise networking concepts.
- Identity and Access Management (IAM): Deep knowledge of IAM, particularly Service Accounts, workload identity, and applying the principle of least privilege.
- Containerization and Orchestration: Experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
- Managed Databases: Hands-on experience with managed database services, such as Cloud SQL.
- DevOps and CI/CD: Practical experience with common DevOps methodologies and tools, including CI/CD platforms like GitHub.
- Automation: Ability to write scripts and automation in at least one programming language. Desired Experience and Professional Attributes
- Enterprise Customer Focus: Confidence in managing stakeholder interactions and experience working with large enterprise customers in complex environments.
- Cloud Migration Experience (Preferred): Prior experience delivering or supporting cloud migrations between hyperscalers (e.g., Azure to Google Cloud or AWS to Google Cloud).
- Communication: Conversational proficiency in English and comfort with using video in meetings with both internal teams and clients.
