Location: India — must currently be based in India
Format: Ongoing part-time freelance work
Workload: Several tasks per week; volume may vary
The role
We are a product company behind Nebula, an astrology and spiritual wellness app with 70M+ users. India is one of our key markets.
We need someone who can help us verify real-world product experiences — from device-specific behavior and local phone and payment flows to market-specific user scenarios.
This is an ongoing part-time role combining hands-on QA, product flow checks and occasional competitor research.
Your tasks
Payment testing: run predefined payment scenarios using local payment methods and report the results.
Release checks: verify critical login, OTP and other user flows after releases.
Mobile QA: test specific flows on a real Android device and reproduce issues when needed.
Product research: explore features, record specific user journeys and occasionally research competitor apps.
Reporting: provide a short description of what you tested, what happened and relevant screenshots or screen recordings.
Some tasks will be recurring, while others may come from different product teams on an ad-hoc basis.
Payment testing
For some scenarios, you may need to make a test transaction using your own eligible local payment method.
The full amount of approved test transactions will be reimbursed. You will never be asked to make a deposit or permanently cover testing costs.
What you’ll need
Must-have:
Currently based in India
Android smartphone with an active Indian SIM that can receive OTPs
Working Indian payment method — UPI / locally issued card
Hands-on QA/testing experience
Clear written English
Ability to capture screenshots and screen recordings
Willingness to provide proof of execution for completed tasks
Nice to have:
Mobile QA experience
Payments / fintech / subscription testing
Production smoke or regression testing
Product or competitor research experience
What we value
You don't need to be a senior QA engineer. What matters most is that we can trust you to get the job done.
Ownership — you complete tasks without being chased and flag blockers early.
Attention to detail — you report what actually happened, not assumptions.
Proof of work — you provide screenshots, recordings or other relevant evidence.
