What You’ll Do
Provenir is seeking a Senior PreSales Consultant who is a business thought leader and who will partner with the company’s customer-facing teams to sell Provenir’s risk-decisioning platform. The role of this consultant is to understand the customer’s business challenges and use expert knowledge of the Provenir solutions from a business and technical perspective to deliver a compelling proposition with strong emphasis on the value that can be delivered. In this role, you will establish yourself as a ‘go-to’ expert both internally and externally. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Pre-Sales, North America and plays a critical role in influencing new revenue growth by shaping solution strategies, enhancing win rates, and accelerating sales cycles. The Senior PreSales Consultant will partner closely with Sales, Product, Marketing, Professional Services, and Data Science teams.
What's Required External Focus
Conduct customer discovery to elicit needs, issues, and pain points
Create compelling story-telling demonstrations and presentations of the Provenir offering to address the customer’s challenges
Articulate the benefits and the potential value of the proposed solution to the customer
Support the sales cycle as required in addition to the above; for example, through Q&A sessions and workshops
Contribute to answering customer RFPs; responsible for the business and technical content of the response, by adapting boilerplate responses, writing others, and coordinating appropriate subject matter experts company-wide
Conduct design and architecture workshops with prospective clients to collaboratively define solution blueprints that meet business and technical objectives
Collaborate closely with Professional Services to ensure a seamless handoff and alignment of proposed solutions with delivery plans and implementation strategy
Partner with internal Data Science teams to align client needs with Provenir’s advanced analytics capabilities, including AI/ML modeling strategies and outcomes
Develop and maintain demonstration environments tailored to client industry use cases, including configuration of Provenir’s platform based on discovery findings
Deliver and support webinars, conferences, and speaking engagements on behalf of Provenir, representing thought leadership in credit risk, fraud, and financial crime
Serve as a subject matter expert in Credit Risk, Fraud Prevention, and Financial Crime Detection, advising clients and internal teams on market trends, regulatory pressures, and best practices
Demonstrate leadership in guiding clients on the value and differentiation of Provenir’s platform and ecosystem offerings
Internal Focus
Collaborate with sales and other relevant internal stakeholders to address prospect objections or cover functional gaps, to ensure a balanced commercial decision can be made and all internal impacts are assessed
Document the sales process artifacts, including customer needs and potential solution options - as discussed with the customer – to ensure a smooth transition to the Professional Services delivery organization
Share developed content and documentation with other global members of the PreSales team and the wider Provenir team for continuing education, demonstration, and process improvement
Contribute to internal enablement sessions including new starter onboarding sessions, lunch-and-learns, etc.
Work closely with the Product Managers to ensure learnings and insights from customer interactions are fed back and incorporated in roadmaps to ensure the continued relevance of our solutions in the market
Minimum Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting or collaborating with sales teams, ideally within a software vendor or consulting environment
At least 3 years of experience in the financial services industry, particularly in decisioning; familiarity with areas including: Credit Risk, Application Fraud, Financial Crime and Sanctions, Portfolio Management, and/or Collections.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline
Proven ability to collaborate, build trust, and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Excellent planning and organizational skills; able to manage priorities across multiple workstreams
Strong documentation and communication skills with a sharp attention to detail
Proficient in college-level writing, editing, and proofreading
Self-motivated team player who can also work independently
Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with enterprise technologies, including a basic understanding of model build, programming, and integration patterns
Prior software Professional Services / Implementations experience
Exposure to business intelligence reporting tools, analytics, and data-driven decisioning platforms
Familiarity with industry best practices in credit risk, fraud detection, and AI-driven financial services solutions
Travel Requirements:
This is a remote role based in the United States (East or Central time preferred). Some travel is required (up to 25%) for client meetings, conferences, and internal business needs. The role may also require occasional international travel for regional team meetings, global sales kickoffs, or other company events. All business travel expenses will be covered in accordance with the Company’s travel policy.
